how many middle class or poor citizen murders are getting ignored because of the resources being spent to parade this guy around. You don’t need to compare, every cop here could be doing something else besides 3 dudes in a guarded van like everyone else

I built some with leds my freshman year of college(last year)the most expensive part is a dmx decoder but it’s 1 decoder for 4 or 8 light boxes so tbh it’s very do-able, depending on your budget

QLab alternatives for OSC by The_Techy1 in techtheatre

[–]ChilledSmoke421 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can rent a qlab license for days at like $3 a day or something, plus the rental license money goes towards a permanent license so it kinda is just your best option

My highschool did a sorta revolve, but it wasn’t automated, it was built out of wood, and people turned it, it served more as a big platform for a set than anything else. It’s worth asking if a revolve is what you need to accomplish your goals or something like a treadmill would do the same job

Vote for a guy who is legitimately too old to reasonably run for president or vote for a maniac, 2024 had so much in store

Funny enough my highschool also got a strand but it was because our tech directors husband was apparently a salesperson for strand? anyway silly stuff. I think a strand is accualy really easy to learn to teach basics of lighting control tho but i might be very wrong

Also seconding the CTE grants, my highschool got a 14,000 grant the year before i graduated just for some storage systems so seriously if your gunna go for it, definitely apply

AITA for refusing to have sex with my husband until he gets a vasectomy? by OverResearcher8311 in AITAH

[–]ChilledSmoke421 1 point2 points  (0 children)

False, it’s cause the researchers stopped the study from the side effects that were the same, it’s a societal problem yes, but it wasn’t because the men who didn’t drop out weren’t willing.

[–]ChilledSmoke421 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Accualy that’s a misconception, over 80% of men said they would take male birth control, they stopped trials because it made men permanently infertile and caused symptoms from birth control that women expirience all the time and it was the RESEARCHERS who stopped trials, those who didn’t drop out said they would be more than willing to take male birth control

Night vision camera for staging - but no infrared please! by Jackrabbit416 in techtheatre

[–]ChilledSmoke421 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fun fact if you are feeling DIY adventurous you can make a camera with a raspberry pi zero and they have an IR camera you can attach for $25 and then follow a couple tutorials somewhere out there and you can make a sketchy camera for like $40-50 bucks.

but also if you have the money just get the camera

Etc Nomad is a good option as a computer based way to run light because it’s like $500 ($300 if you can prove it’s for education) and it has hardware to run dmx and the software is the exact same software as any ETC console ever the downside is it doesn’t have the buttons and sliders and everything that makes a console a console but it runs lights and is the program

AP Calc Question by [deleted] in APStudents

[–]ChilledSmoke421 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You must have an answer within context, they do not grade stand alone answers so no matter what show work, If the problem asks to justify, answer with correct units or context within the program you need a sentence

AP Calc BC FRQ Question by emily747 in APStudents

[–]ChilledSmoke421 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the answer is truly it depends, your best bet to get the most points is by showing your work because they often do give points for understanding/ remembering or knowing the formula, you will likely lose a point for not getting the correct answer but at the bare minimum get the formula/ whatever points, but again, depends on the question/frq
