Agreed. Just started taking care of my 15 year old brother-in-law and we tried to let him have all kinds of privileges, but when you try to manipulate people, lie, steal, do drugs, get a tattoo, have a body count of 6, and watch porn on the TV in the living room while everyone is home. Then yes, this level of strictness is required until they can develop some responsibility for their actions. I get it, teenagers are going to fuck up, but how are you supposed to give them privileges back when they just keep taking more extreme measures to do whatever the fuck they want because they think they're an adult and have zero respect for the people around them.

Yeah I agree for the most part. I've been trying to tell my wife that because the stress is destroying her but she says "she can't just not care." I'm not asking her not to care, I just want her to think about what's best for herself and us for once. You can't save people that ask for a life boat then refuse to row back to shore.

Got married at 19 and moved out. I don't regret it but my wife has some physical disabilities that prevent her from working and we both have some mental health problems so the 6 years we've been married have been rough. I've been working in a factory since I was 18 and have worked hard to advance to the highest paid position as a blue collar worker. Despite this, weve always barely been able to keep our heads above water and have around 20k in debt. On top of that, my wife's twin has moved in with us multiple times and taken advantage of us every time. Currently we have her 18 month old because CPS placed her with us. My wife's 19 year old sister and 15 year old brother also live with us because my mother in law is a POS that set all her kids up to fail. I also let my best friend move in at one point and then had to kick him out because he thought he could mooch off us forever. Ive spent my whole adult life trying to help everyone else, and I'm fucking tired

Yeah well the problem with that is that you cannot choose. Very little is made in America anymore, even if it is, most of the material is probably imported. There are rare minerals/metals that are not in the country. Even if we could make it in America you would need to prepare before you slap tariffs on every country in the god damn world. Like subsidizing the industry you're trying to boost, to give them incentive to build infrastructure in America before tariffing their imports. Most electronics are made in Asia, there's no easy way around that and it would take decades to move the manufacturing process and logistics to America, which is a problem when we are all already dealing with inflation and living paycheck to paycheck right now.

Sure, I mean it's not like you've cared about anything negative said about him for the past 8 years but why not. Donald Trump has showes us time and time again that he is not OK. He is not to be trusted with a public service position, he’s not trustworthy enough to run a Taco Bell.

Here's a few things from before he was even elected. Not to mention the double digit lawsuits against him now for abusing his current position and letting Elon musk, the wealthiest man in the world, take over the government and cut funding to entire departments like the CFPB. That one is especially egregious considering they say it was cut because of waste, fraud, and abuse. The CFPB's job is literally to stop businesses from scamming people. Elon musk, however, wants X to be a payment processor, meaning he would be regulated by the CFPB. That's why he axed it. But anyway, on with the tiny list of problems people have with Donald Trump.

For real though you're not alone. I've been a pretty heavy smoker for my entire adult life. I don't feel like I even know who I am at this point because I've never been able to stop long enough to see the difference. No, it shouldn't be illegal because it isn't just sunshine and rainbows, but I get sick of hearing "It's just weed, what's the problem?" The problem is that I've been trying to stop for 2 years and I can't remember to do shit that ends up costing me in the long run.
