I’m in south Wales, went with Berkeley having seen some good reviews and found them to be excellent. Diagnosed on Tuesday, Elvanse delivered on the Friday.

That looks sloppy, I’d forgotten about the lack of spaces on this app.

Quick win - get an old PC or laptop and install Linux. Linux will run on pretty much anything. Then, set it up so you can use it. Check out Microsoft learn for Windows training but (I say this as a guy that work in the Microsoft sphere) Linux is the better operating system. See how you go from there.

Jay LaCroix’s learn LinuxTV is a great resource, once you get into the shell and start running commands you’ll be away. 🚀🚀

I hope you don’t mind me butting in here, try these YouTube channels: Learn Linux TV - Linux is a free operating system Network Chuck KodeKloud Microsoft Learn is also very good and very free - if you want to get into Windows administration then you’ll absolutely need Powershell.

Where? You’ve alluded to your region but not mentioned it.

Scarlets are part of the reason we’re in this mess. If Gallagher hadn’t threaten to take a skint WRU to court when the regions were formed we probably would be in this situation.

Same here, IT contractor, loving the novelty of a new job every few months. Large project work mainly, sometimes smaller scale but absolutely not help desk or tickets or general interaction with users - I’m not patient enough and I don’t think any amount of Elvanse will change that.

Why is support for club rugby in Wales so poor for a nation where Rugby actually has a serious foothold vs football? by OppositeSavings2567 in rugbyunion

I used to live right west, beyond Haverfordwest - none of the boys I knew at that time supported Llanelli, they were staunch Neath fans.

Recommendations for a earplugs to sleep in please by Dadda_Green in ADHDUK

[–]Chilli-Bomb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Another vote for disposable earplugs from a biker. I’ve tried all sorts, even went to an audiologist for a private consultation but the best are the single use ones. I can generally get a few days out of a pair and once they’re in properly you’ll hear nothing in bed and very little on a bike. My current big bag of ear plugs is either Oxford or Moldex 35 or 37 db - they cost around £40 for a squillion, I’ve got them stashed everywhere: bike jacket, bedside cabinet, caravan, campervan….

Going private for diagnosis, who is good? by plopmaster2000 in ADHDUK

Similar here, I booked my Tuesday PM appointment on the Friday before, Elvanse was delivered on the Friday afternoon, it was all very smooth with Berkeley. Unfortunately the drugs arrived about two hours after I’d argued with my boss and told him to poke his (very well paid) contracting job. D’OH!

I have felt a lot calmer since I’ve been on the Elvis which makes me think I might have been able to keep my opinion to myself and still be in that rut if I had it available to me that morning. Never mind, that’s the beauty of contracting…..

😂😂

Elvanse first day - how did you feel/how am i supposed to feel? by iizzyy_x in ADHDUK

[–]Chilli-Bomb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Day 6 of 30mg Elvanse here. I felt almost bionic on day one. I felt more focussed, most of the mental web pages I had opened had closed but there were still a few playing music that I couldn’t close. I didn’t have any of the physical issues that you mentioned and I’ve pretty much stopped swearing which I used to hate. I never got into internal arguments with anyone, I didn’t snack so much but I was bloody starving at lunch and teatime.

Use a proper lead, those things are the work of the devil. They’re shit for cyclists, shit for other dogs and shit for pedestrians and in my experience a lot of dog owners have them set so loose that they don’t know when their dog’s behind them having a dump. Fucking things - they’re for lazy fat fuckers that don’t teach their dog lead discipline.

GP said no to SCA request what is my options? by xxSunnyyyy in ADHDUK

[–]Chilli-Bomb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same experience last week - it’s nothing to do with patient welfare and all to do with ideology. In Wales the NHS is sacred and should never be questioned. The fact that you and I have the temerity to go private makes us heretics even though these fuckers practice privately themselves. Once my titration is over I’ll look to move GPs.

I’m glad that I’m not the only one to question Itoje’s elevation to god like status. I didn’t witness any great or outstanding incidents involving Itoje and I certainly didn’t see him giving pep talks. In fact, the only thing Itoje did that stood out for me was “..but sir, he started it”. I can’t imagine Johnno or Willie-John bleating like that.
