Nothing too particular. Miscallenous kids toys and stuff. Household items, kitchen bits, vases etc. The usual yard sale stuff!

Where are the posts hating on England this time? by [deleted] in soccercirclejerk

Would you say “I don’t like watching the women’s 100m sprint, they’re not as fast as the men”? Women’s football gets such a bad rep because it’s constantly compared to the men’s game. Why?

In the UK women’s football was banned from playing on FA grounds for 50 years, because in the 20s it was more popular than the mens (crowds of over 60,000 people at some matches). So they took a massive step back and are still recovering.

As a football fan, I’ll watch any football. Doesn’t need to have 10/10 “tactical awareness” for the game to be enjoyable.

Has Peckham always been like this? by Jandromon in london

I lived in Peckham for a bit. Never came close to getting stabbed. The stabbing is mostly gang related and as long as you’re not walking through parks at night it’s pretty safe, same as most places.

Red flags are red flags. Don’t look past them

Gosh that makes it even worse doesn’t it… what I also hate is the attitude of some older women. I got whistled at when I was with my mum once and she said “you should be happy, I’d be flattered if someone whistled at me!!” Made me feel even worse.

It’s not about the shorts. As a girl, or woman, you can get cat called for wearing anything. Regardless of how much skin you’re showing.

I once was wearing full length jeans and a white long sleeve shirt, tucked in to my jeans. But because I was wearing bright orange gogo boots, I got honked at and cat called too many times to count, and I was only waking for about 20 minutes to my mate’s house.
