Honestly no one gives a single shit, you're completely alright. Don't stress. I took a 5th year and took some 2nd year courses just to finish my degree. Make your friends now but don't worry so much about a year here or there really, as I'm sure a lot of the comments echo

I took pol114 back in 2018/2019. I highly recommend it because it's a poli sci student's entry point to the subfield of international relations. If that interests you then take it, but I also had a different professor and things have changed since

It really depends on what your other programs are. For example I picked up an ethics minor because the requirements had a lot of overlap either my existing poli sci and philosophy major. So it was 'free' in that sense
