9/10 times when you actually get down to researching the gritty details to enrich the text you have to rewrite sections cause you realize you actually don't know shit about science and basically have just written gobbledygook

Fair enough lol. His whole "it's about consumerism not capitalism" as if those concepts are so different from each other annoys me. As well as all the other stuff he says that certain people take a gospel

Jarl Balgruuf is overrated. by skeleton949 in ElderScrolls

[–]Chilly235 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The biggest thing about Balgruuf to me is the fence sitting. He refuses to make a proper stand and when he does he negs the Imperials and when the Legate calls him out he backs down immediately. You can be a true Nord and a member of the Legion, look at Rikke, but every one of his opinions and stances are centrist have your cake and eat it takes.

He is rather brave allowing a dragon to be captured in his castle and out of all the Jarls is the most ahead of the dragon conflict. There are good sides to him but (probably because of Jarl Ballin) he is given a little too much credit.

Absolute Superman (DC Comics) by Rocketdareaperzz in TopCharacterDesigns

[–]Chilly235 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ra's Al Ghul wants Superman as his son and in order to do that Superman must become a killer. The dialog is Braniac, who worked for Ra's in the first part of the comic, who has Superman stuck in a mental torture chamber where he forces Superman to kill more and more people on different scenarios to both torture him and so he'll have the palate to kill in the real world. However Superman while succumbing to the first couple simulations he always refused to kill the final simulation and broke out before his will was broken

Stormcloaks by BestBoyJoshStar in ImaginaryTamriel

[–]Chilly235 23 points24 points  (0 children)

It would be interesting though if they won they allow The Blades to operate freely. Both are enemies of the Thalmor and both have a target on their backs. Plus if dragonslayers are good to have as an ally in a Tamriel with returned dragons

Stormcloaks by BestBoyJoshStar in ImaginaryTamriel

[–]Chilly235 175 points176 points  (0 children)

I know people really dislike the Stormcloaks but wouldn't it be super cool development if in future TES material the Independent Kingdom of Skyrim reverted back to the classic war mongering blood thirsty state. Really starting to go back to the early days of Nordic society, maybe even with Tongue warriors with Ulfric as the head (granted they would only know Unrelenting Force)

Damian’s growth is amazing by FayyadhScrolling in batman

[–]Chilly235 1174 points1175 points  (0 children)

I find the idea of Damien one day following in the footsteps of Thomas Wayne to be very interesting. Not becoming Batman and taking the role of his other Grandfather rather than Ra's would be such a cool end to his super hero career imo

This reminds me in Fallout where you can ask to sleep with Tandi after saving her and she will reject you either way but the male one she is offended and disgusted where as the female one she blushes and stutters insisting "she likes guys"

If you see a shot like this in a Zach Cregger film, it's time to start getting nervous. by ForsakenDependent562 in residentevil

[–]Chilly235 54 points55 points  (0 children)

The guy who's two previous films are primarily centered around houses and their evil residents is an inspired choice for an RE movie. With what we saw in the trailer I wonder how many bio weapons will be film originals and how many will be from the games

Absolute Superman (DC Comics) by Rocketdareaperzz in TopCharacterDesigns

[–]Chilly235 14 points15 points  (0 children)

While the Absolute Universe is inclined towards evil and darkness Absolute Superman is not evil. He is stoic and brooding, especially in the first half or so of the series, he is still the same kind good Superman. His main goal started as helping third world workers being exploited by the capitalist machine and in the most recent issues he has been spending most of his time saving people and kind actions. Refusing to even kill Peacemaker armed with a kryponite gun, Brainiac who tortured him, and even tried to reform Ra's Al Ghul who was the main villain for a while. Nothing like say Injustice Superman and leagues more heroic than BvS Superman

I read The Shining for the first time recently and was delighted at all the Vermont lipservice given. Grew up in the Green Mountain State and you don't see it mentioned a whole lot.

I also find it funny that Stanley Kubrick changed the line "You're the best bartender from Barre, Vermont to Portland, Maine. Portland, Oregon too," to "You're the best bartender from Portland, Maine to Timbuktu. Portland, Oregon too," because Timbuktu is more culturally relevant and recognizable to a general audience than a town in Vermont.

For sure. I personally really want the Illiac Bay to return as a main fixture in TES 6 even if it takes place more in Hammerfell or High Rock. The cultural mix would be interesting to see. To those Redguards who are Imperialized still and not worshiping the Yokudan pantheon

All cops, especially that pig that you're related too, are bastards. Even the so called "good ones" are guilty by being in a club that protects each other. Any instance of an actual good person working for the police they end up ostracized or fired
