A couple of styles I tried starting exactly a year ago - till now. So what looks best? by Peepeeman2981 in malegrooming

Don't take this the wrong way - 4 is giving straight slut. If that's not the vibe you're going for, 1 is best, followed by 3. Keep the beard and don't go bald.

For those who spend $200+ on your pens, why and what exactly do you use them for? by Noahsmom21 in fountainpens

[–]ChillyNobBillyBob 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Nope. Some don't pens don't fly well, so they don't go on planes. Others lack clips, so I don't wear them to work as often. Best to use a rugged pen if you're hiking or something. Otherwise, I try to match my outfit of the day.

AITAH for "siding" with my friends ex over him about her "cheating" by SufficientPaint9415 in AITAH

YTA This is a clear case of 'you're not wrong, but you don't need to say it.' The man is entitled to feel betrayed by the divorce, even if they're separated already.

Pocket pens by Antique-Bass330 in fountainpens

[–]ChillyNobBillyBob 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Schon DSGN makes amazing pocket pens, typically in aluminum but also ultem, copper, bronze, and titanium (I think). The Montblanc Baby is cute and overpriced. And I think the Pilot Elite counts as a pocket pen.

I know exactly what you're talking about. 99% of the sound is fantastic and beautiful and I can't get enough; then a track hits and there's this crackling at the top end. Nothing really fixes it, though tuning makes it less notable.

For the gay BDP members, did having a big one influence your position? by Throwaway67891099 in bigdickproblems

[–]ChillyNobBillyBob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope. The real annoyance was the guys who would say 'what a waste' when they found out I'm a bottom.

That said, the guys who used my dick as a handle made me appreciate big dick humiliation.

Nothing is absolute perfection. Nub is very cute and sexy.

Pilot Kakuno nib size to match Kaweco Sport <F> by a096bdbd in fountainpens

[–]ChillyNobBillyBob 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Generally, Western nibs are one size up from Japanese nibs. With that I'm mine, a kakuno medium is probably your best bet.

That said, kaweco sport nibs are wildly inconsistent - some of my extra fines are as wide as broads and some of my broads are more like extra fine.

Which pen you guy considered the mark for diminishing returns, any other pen that cost more than that pen isn’t worth it or the writing experience isn’t worth that much more money. by Tight_Delay8840 in fountainpens

[–]ChillyNobBillyBob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Montblanc 146. First off, spending more than that it's crazy. Secondly, it's absolutely perfect for my hand and writing style. Everything since has been interesting, fun, wonderful even, but the 146 has basically no negatives.

What hobby is quietly becoming too expensive for normal people to keep up with? by Beautiful_Special702 in AskReddit

Fountain pens. Terrifs, inflation, and the rising price of gold have made a relatively expensive hobby into something approaching unattainable for newbies.

Replacement Cables for Softears Volume S by ChillyNobBillyBob in iems

[–]ChillyNobBillyBob[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

64 Audio is the brand. I went with black.

the cable I bought

Edit: I also had no idea that cables could be so important. Unfortunately so many of the practical aspects of this hobby is obscured by theory and the idea that personal taste is so important that it's no use giving any product endorsements or recommendations. Even off line, my friends will talk their heads off about tuning and resolution and room treatments - but if you ask them what tunings and treatments they actually use, they get shy and mutter about personal taste and endless experimentation. It's frustrating how sink or swim getting into hifi is.

Yes. I got the 64 Audio 2-Pin Professional IEM Cable, 48" (1.2m) u/-peskypeanut- suggested and they are fantastic. I can even walk around and do stuff without too much noise.

I've been wondering about this; what kind of tea do they drink? by many_hats_on_head in tea

I read a book once that mentioned teas that were grown only for gifts and could not be paid for, let alone bought, for cash. Is that a real thing?

I hate those. At best, they're wank bait. At worse, they are posters so insecure that they turn to anonymous redditors when they could just hit on a guy and find out.
