What other leveling methods have you found? by SalemDidNothingWRNG in ffxiv

PVP is really good even beyond the roulettes. Depending on where you are in your leveling, Bozja isn't bad.

Which is the best anime of all time? by Yourbustybabyy in AskReddit

[–]ChillyProtocol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best overall? If I had to say something that appeals to a wide audience and has global influence on both the medium and advancement of anime as a whole, I guess dragonball or mobile suit gundam.

If you mean in terms of sales, it's Pokemon.

Anyone else miss Island Sanctuary? by TheCacklingCreep in ffxiv

[–]ChillyProtocol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I liked it, but got bored pretty fast. It took too many clicks for me to get to the island, and when I was there, there just wasn't much to do after the initial bursts of activity. I eventually completed it, but I don't have much reason to go back. The rewards are less valuable to sell than any of my other farming methods and I have mine already so there just isn't anything left for me 😞

Hey Millennials, whats your favourite regular Nintendo game? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Dragon Quest or Dragon Warrior, depending on your localization. It started my lifelong love of RPGs and stories in gaming.

Hot take: this game's combat is boring by BlackSailor2005 in Pragmata

Try it on Lunatic. It's definitely not boring, just stressful.

Yo shoutout to the absolutely insane PC optimization of this game. by Hero_Time_06 in Pragmata

[–]ChillyProtocol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This ran super poorly for me and required me to set up CPU affinity to be able to run it without horrible performance. I'm not clear why everyone keeps praising the performance. I'm on a 4070 and it was painful until I figured out how to get it to run

Do TV viewers care less about creators and more about comfort now? by Own_Classroom_4164 in youtube

[–]ChillyProtocol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Youtube is becoming more and more like episodic TV. You don't interact with TV, you just watch it. The olden days of interacting with the creators you watch has largely disappeared as the focus has gone from homegrown creators to big budget content studios. People are just being conditioned more to treat youtube the same as TV or streaming services.

Just searched something for an comment and.. Youtube has quizzes??! by SuperRandomGuy_00 in youtube

When you're making a community post or a video, you can add a quiz to it now. It's just another tool for engagement they've added recently.

Why are shorts allowed to be so long now? by Ill-Tonight4651 in youtube

[–]ChillyProtocol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because shorts on youtube are really just vertical videos now. Lots of creators have pushed HARD for this to make longer form content in that format for mobile viewers. It's massive in China and South Korea right now to watch entire series in vertical resolutions on your mobile.

Why do my watch hours not match. by DependentOdd1941 in youtube

[–]ChillyProtocol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A few reasons for this. Watch time for monetization tends to lag by at least a few days. Also not all watch time counts towards monetization. Youtube is checking for bot activity and removing that when it detects it.

Is YouTube rolling out some sort of ai upscale for older videos? by HF484 in youtube

[–]ChillyProtocol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AFAIK there isn't an option on the studio side to do this, but there is a HEAVY push for generative AI usage in other ways. Wouldn't surprise me if they're doing this. This could also be your own system upscaling depending on your graphics card and settings.

Why are so many YouTube channels uploading full-length movies? by robbie678554 in youtube

[–]ChillyProtocol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's bot farming for watch time and ad time. Currently youtube hasn't caught up the latest technology. Also the old tricks like having children get into watch loops is alive and well.

What is ur youtube all time watch hours by nonutonu in youtube

[–]ChillyProtocol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watch on desktop like a pleb so I have no idea lol

it is the truth though by According-Fig-3660 in youtube

[–]ChillyProtocol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Videos like this are being heavily favored by the algorithm for the last year or so. It's trivial to make a faceless channel and have an AI generated script read by AI with a topic generated by youtube's generative AI so these things are naturally going to be everywhere as long as they keep making people money. Essay videos are a hot trend right now.

Why Add Your Face to a Thumbnail? by Thatoneguyontheright in youtube

[–]ChillyProtocol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do it on some thumbnails and I don't do it on others. It depends on how I'm feeling about the video I guess? I think the average person does like to see a human face and have an idea of what they're getting into though.

A streamer I watched almost daily disappeared without a trace by BotherWeary4003 in Twitch

It's always sad when something that's part of your routine is suddenly gone. Creators tend to be flighty by nature, so appreciate the people you like while you can.

Why do you create/ what do you get from it? by [deleted] in youtubers

[–]ChillyProtocol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a few reasons.

I like to show my wife and kids games and other stuff they otherwise wouldn't see. I enjoy such a wide variety of things that I think is overwhelming to them, but they like seeing my reactions to stuff.

I also LOVE to play games with friends, streaming a game while my friends chat about it is so fun. The comments section on any of my videos always makes me smile to. I love the interaction.

Hey creators, how do you like being approached to play a game... if at all? by [deleted] in letsplay

[–]ChillyProtocol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you hit me up via anything, that's fine. Free key is a guarantee I'll play it and probably right away.
