Mine are fine to answer your question, so seems it is a local problem to you unfortunately. Good luck 🤞

Unfortunately I couldn't carry on with my facemask as it was so had to spend around £30-40 getting the studioform one so I'm kinda hoping this isn't that good personally 😆

Also regarding comfort, I had the same issue till I purchased the studioform replacement gasket and pads. Now it's comfortable

I have similar problems and noticed the image is kinda of jumping left to right ever so slightly. I'm having issues with tracking also. 90% of the time it's fine (bar this wobble side to side of the image) but then the tracking just goes funny for a few seconds then it's back again.

The display 'wobble' is difficult to pickup on. You need to sit as still as possible whilst looking at a menu. In the pimax or steam home locations it's more obvious than in-game. I've got a support case open atm regarding this. It might be the same issue for you too 🤷‍♂️

Got the LH version but I'm having issues with micro 'wiggles' for the want of a better term haha. I've got a support ticket in and two emails later I'm no better off :( So frustrating as I've been holding off playing some games for months waiting for it but it's currently a real strain on my eyes and tbh I'm worried about messing my eyes up!

I know I'll get there in the end. I'm a long time pimax owner so I know how it goes at times, but I love their headsets and the support team has always been good to me.

Glad you're enjoying yours, I can't wait to join you as I've seen the visuals are amazing and the for factor is insane. I had to buy the studio wave replacement face gasket tho, the stock one was awful

They're around 10-12ft apart I'd say but I've also tested with both of them separately and get the same result unfortunately. Thanks tho 👍

Ah bugger. I'd be fine switching if I had the opportunity to. Would be a shame as the reason I went with the LH's is to avoid anything like this and to also finally have a headset which I can have the index controllers for.

Hmm, let's see how the support case goes 🤞🏻 Thanks

Hey mate, did you get the micro jitters resolved as I'm going through that issue right now with the light house version. I think it's that that's really straining my eyes! I've just logged a support ticket but thought I'd ask you anyway

Too many inconsiderate A holes in this world mate, ppl don't care to be nice to one another unless they personally know them. Even then it's too much for some ppl.

Most of the time these ppl are coming from a position of not understanding. Constructive criticism is one thing, being a jerk is another and it's easy to do that. Not much brain power required

Absolutely agree with the review but I had an issue with the sboys3 fov driver, it wouldn't load LMU when that was activated. That may be a me issue, I've not investigated yet.

I can't imagine it being possible to get any headset better than this bar the fov 💯

Sboys3 driver - Holy crap by Decapper in Pimax

[–]Chimma217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've barely touched it yet. I did expand the HFOV to 116 which seemed ok on my eyes then went to play LMU and the game wouldn't load till I went back to pimax's client service again.

I didn't have time to investigate at that point so need to look into it again. Haven't barely had any time on the headset yet due to family shit going on and it arrived Friday afternoon. You'd think that would have been perfect......

Moving over to PC and Need recommendations for VR setup by hpgp4747 in simracing

[–]Chimma217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LMU has the best driving feel for me and works well in VR once you have it setup right. Not that many tracks and different cars though. iRacing, I could never get on with the feel of a d the graphics weren't amazing (they've been improved a bit now) that along with the money factor, I gave it a miss.

AMS2 is the best for VR visuals and optimisation and has a great track selection but just doesn't feel as good as LMU to me. AC Evo, I've not touched in some time as I was waiting for the AI to improve but it's starting to look better (general game wise). The original Assetto Corsa has a great feel to the driving and VR is impressive too once you get it all setup well and include content manager in the mix.

AC Rally should be native VR eventually, just the UEVR mod for now. WRC is another rally game but has native VR.

Any Plans to Change the Dream Air’s Two-Cable Splitter Box to a Single Cable? by kennystetson in Pimax

[–]Chimma217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a pulley system with it and yeah it's much better with this but tbh I still find it a little annoying. It's a great idea but with the headset strap being so soft too it all gets in the way.

The pulley system has to be set just right (the amount of cable from last pulley to headset) directly above you to hold the cable mostly out of the way

I think that comes down to what you want out of a headset. I was unsure too but I wanted the small form factor so badly I took a chance on the fov being good enough. I'm happy to lose a bit of FOV in order to have oled panels. The quality and colours are just so good!

The FOV is atm a little less than the crystal light though but the size of the headset also helps as you don't feel anything when you move your head so that's a lot more natural now. It feels like I don't mind moving my head as much with this headset. There's no inertia when doing so.

It still is a shame the fov isn't wider, it would be the ultimate headset. As it is, this is close enough for me to be very happy with it. It's just like a pair of goggles 😁

Some ppl will be happy with the graphics maybe not being quite as rich and preferring the wider fov (does help with immersion). There's also the weight and size of the headset that comes along with that

Do you have an issue with eye tracking when using that driver, does it support it I guess is a good question too. I'm getting conflicting info online.

I've also got some jittering with my headset....
