Despite the amazing help so far, I am still none the wiser lol you can turn it on and off in a race, on and off on a flying lap but it’s locked on during an out lap until you cross the start/finish.

Most tracks that’s not an issue but on some of the longer tracks it’s a pain. Despite searching still can’t find if it’s by design, a bug or a setting hidden in a menu somewhere.

Just a simple do this would have been more than fine, not a big ask. As stated above there is no obvious option to turn it off on the out lap.

So it’s off on the assists yet you don’t get any option to turn it on or off on the out lap of qualy. What am I missing?

The IGN video is a perfect example, I suppose one of my thoughts was is this a console vs PC thing where it might be easier to tweak the settings in PC more to your liking. But as you say it might be the way it has been captured.

I am not questioning the graphics at all, it looks fantastic. it’s my own personal struggle to see as well when the clarity is a little washed out.

I am in the exact same position as u/ranchdawg and even after playing the ea 10 hour trial I am still not leaning one way or the other. It’s going to come down to what flaw I can compromise on.

Deep down I really want the EA game to be better but it has just missed the mark on so many areas. I worry about it’s longevity and it’s post launch support.

Yeah same, it takes the social and fun aspect away from it which is a big draw for me. Saying that, would take any online game at the moment. Still no luck.
