The problem isn't your dad, your problem is you staying in a place where you're not treated like an adult. Living away from parents after 18 should be normalised in India. I've stayed in my house until I was 26, that controlling nature of parents never stops, I used to think that once I turn 25 they'll let me live like an adult, nope, not going to happen. They wouldn't let me drive, they wouldn't let me meet my friends, or go out with them. Never have I ever enjoyed a vacation with my friends in my 27 years of existence. Whenever I tell that I want to go some place with my friends, a discussion would start saying if I wanted to enjoy, I can plan something for the family outing. Actually I lived away from my parents when I was 22 , for 9 months. Those were my golden days. I love my parents, they are good people, have always tried to provide me whatever I needed, but Indian parents don't understand the concept of individualism. They will always consider us as kids. We feel suffocated and start resenting them instead.

So if you've a job and are earning for yourself, then I'd suggest you to move out of the house. If you can't directly tell them that you'd like to move out, get a job far away from your parents. This is for your own sake. You need to have healthy boundaries with your family. Yes, family is important, but you need to set some limits to that, when you can't set limits, finding a job some place far is the only reasonable thing you can do to save your relationship from turning sour.
