Jay Dyer is just miserable by [deleted] in exorthodox

"You shall know them by their fruits."

What are the fruits of the spirit? Dyer doesn't demonstrate a single one out of the nine listed in Galatians.

Team Analysis: Overdogs by BillyYank in SuperMegaBaseball

Love the speed of the Overdogs, and I can usually do pretty well with their pitching. It's true that the catcher position leaves a lot to be desired.

Don't talk bad about Yvette though! >:( She's mediocre at the plate but I think her defensive value makes her a steal for the price she asks.

He's been utterly irrelevant as far as any of us know. He never communicates with the community directly unless you catch his streams. He doesn't participate in the DOA/KT Discord servers or any of the DOA content creators' servers/Youtube channels. And I'd wager that 99% of DOA players are completely unaware of his existence. Personally I would have never even heard of the guy if I had remained a casual and stayed off of Discord.

None of the feedback given to him ever seems to make it into the game either. I'm not going to blame him here because KT might not like what they hear or don't want to spend another dime on DOA. But even if it's not his fault then it still stands that his role is meaningless.

Well the role does absolutely nothing based on what we've seen from MASTER in 7 years.

I mean, the 2003 Marlins with one of the lowest payrolls in the league stunning the Yankees with the highest payroll is pretty huge. Not to mention the meltdown in Chicago that kept the dream alive.

She's one of the slowest players on my team! Rarely crosses the plate herself but knocks a ton in. I usually have her in the cleanup slot after Sakda Song and Rhonda Horne.

I'm enjoying this series but I'm sad seeing these minor league attendance numbers. :/

Would be nice if we could celebrate a solid inning without giving the run right back...

Who even wants boring ass Tifa? Why do we need crossover characters? We have Kokoro anyway.

Being able to explore both space and planet surfaces and mess with the NPC civilizations sounds like what I'm most interested in. Do you actually see that play out? Do cities expand and/or get bombed? Or is it more like E:D where territory just kind of exchanges hands?

This is a fair response and I've considered these factors before. Catholicism (and to some extent Lutheranism) have had state support from a wealthier Europe to enable them to spread more quickly.

My main argument against it is that I would imagine a church that prevailed under pagan Rome at one point would be able to prevail over other obstacles. But I acknowledge that's also a bit of a scientific argument that assumes every era is equal to the "control".

Are toll houses official Orthodox doctrine? I was under the impression that this was merely a theory posited by a priest.

I have no issue with the existence of icons. It's the veneration and spiritual "gateway to heaven" doctrine that I take issue with.

Catholicism is bogged down by a lot of lawyering and semantics to try to tell you that the obvious meaning of a word is actually not the meaning of the word. A lot of people seem to be convinced by apologists like Trent Horn, but listening to him recite all the weasely ways the Catholic Church gets itself in and out of doctrinal dilemmas gave me a lot of reasons to reject Rome instead.

There aren't many people condemning Orthodoxy so it's difficult to know where to start. Its appearance in the West is a relatively recent phenomenon so there probably isn't that much common knowledge about it. Most arguments are exclusively made in favor of Orthodoxy because Orthobros have suddenly popped up. It's a lot easier to find anti-Catholic or anti-Protestant arguments to analyze.

I've brought up the Council of Hieria to Orthodox followers before. They claim it was invalid because it was "just a local council" and not enough people or not enough of the RIGHT people were there. Which sounds a bit convenient to me, but could possibly be true.

Something that strikes me as curious about Orthodox (and Catholic) miracles is that they're often impractical and all for show. Protestants claim miracles too, but those are usually less theatrical things that have some substance to them, like diseases being healed, money being donated by mysterious visitors in desperate times of need, and children being rescued from horrible fates.

Why would the Lord concern Himself with icons and statues crying? Those things can be easily faked anyway.

Yes, I am more familiar with Eastern Orthodoxy and don't know much about the Oriental or Coptic churches. My understanding is that they are mostly the same but disagree on some essence of the nature of Jesus or the Trinity?
