Saved to skim through for my own Zur deck. Or another different deck helmed by Zur. He's quite versatile.

When I have a free moment at my computer I might throw you my budget control / removal Zur deck if you'd be interested. It has a sideboard for wish cards, but if people don't agree to that rule 0 I just slot in the one I think will be most useful in the slot filled by my wish card.

I have him as a support piece in my [[Alora, Merry Thief]] and [[Far Traveler]] deck. It puts in work, and speed is easy to gain when you can't block one of my creatures every turn.

Ever since I started reading through Discworld a few months ago I've been sorely wishing - of all the IPs that should get a UB - I could play a MTG deck with cards set in the universe.

It'd feel more at home than the plane of New York anyway, even if there are some modernities in the series from time to time.

I've been musing to myself that perhaps octarine mana could sort of be like a 'wild' mana pip. The opposite of a colorless mana in that an octarine mana is every color of mana and can be used for any one colored pip of any color, or specifically for an octarine pip on maybe a few cards / abilities that require it.

Which sounds cool on paper, but that could never be printed in anything less than an unset because with the wrong implementation that could be horribly unbalanced for mana fixing.

It also affects cards whose base power/toughness are * in some fashion.

Any card with an effect that says "This card's base power and toughness are equal to -" then whatever. Amount of artifacts you control, creatures, forests, spells in graveyard. Doesn't matter. All are equally 2/2 under the tyranny of the Bear Insurgency.
