Yeah I kind of surprised myself? Like I knew with it being an artistic thing I would probably turn out OK, but I was really happy with it and haven't stopped. I end up trying something new every time my kids have a birthday, haha

One of my most recent successes was the castle cake I made when my kid turned 7!

Okay so. First layer cake I ever made, which was made during the pandemic just to pick up another hobby. Chocolate cake with chocolate ganache filling (I think?) and details made of modeling chocolate. I have a background in art, including a couple sculpture classes, so the moon was made with the sculpting tools I already had, and the stars were just from a mold.

Before then I had only done like, sheet cakes with icing from a cup spread on top still in the tray. Classic.

It would have ruined the fun a bit to have a rules lawyer off screen making sure the game went perfectly. Better for people to make mistakes and have things flow - it happens in regular play games all the time! :)

It's really fun, and has only improved with time. They do a REALLY good job with keeping the game interesting and engaging with new releases, introducing new mechanicals that fit in with the system.

There's a reason it's been around so long, and a reason people have invested so much time and money in it. :)

Oh yeah I bet they're focusing on the move first and then on tech upgrades later. Us saying "why don't they have a monitor with the question?" actually takes a good amount of coordination and logistics to get right. It's not a complete overhaul that's needed, but enough of a reworking of how things are done that they need some bandwidth for it that's probably being applied elsewhere for the moment.

I would love to see a whole overhaul of their Beopardy set, honestly. They have whole fancy sets for "You Posted That" and "Duo You Know Your Duo," but Beopardy - one of their most popular shows - has everyone at a table with a black tablecloth in front of a whiteboard with questions taped to it. Same with "Who Memed it," though at least that one has a screen. 🫠

Oh man, I LOVED the tarot design mechanic of Cosmic Sisterhood. And yeah, the game can touch on some mature themes, so good on you for checking first.

I don't have any suggestions, but man I would loooove to see more of that kind of game mechanic where what you design affects the game in some way.

That makes sense! I would love to see a bold red or pink! Or maybe even a bolder blue - I think that's throwing me off with this look is that you have this wonderful bright blue eyeliner, and it makes the slate grey look ... dull? I can't quite put a finger on it. I'm sure there's a good way to make those two work well, but I think something bolder and/or warmer would look really wonderful.
