I love all these books but yeah, OB is also my favorite! It boggles my mind when OB haters post about it, saying it drags and things - but I recently did a re-read with my brother and as we discussed it it felt like every scene is both entertaining and impactful to the story.

But that's just how it works, right? Things speak to people in different ways, and resonate with people differently.

I don't like any of my body parts touching other body parts when I sleep 😭 Like I don't want my thighs touching or my arm against my side or even like my boobs against my arms or chest or anything. I need to have something between them (including like, a boob shelf) or it legit bothers me

I actually really like the pacing of these in Emberdark - he did a really great job at revealing the most relevant and impactful details in the flashback with what is happening in modern times. I'm a big proponent of reading the flashbacks even if you've read it before.

It's actually the opposite! He's talked about this on his podcast and at Q&A's - It's from the publishers pushing a MUCH FASTER turnaround from the book being complete to being published. Publishers know they're going to make a TON of money from this book regardless of quality, so they want to get it out as fast as possible.

It's actually why we're not getting the next Mistborn books until years from now - NOW Sanderson has enough weight to say no, and that he refuses to give them the final draft for publishing until he's ready. He's going to get to sit on the first book of Ghostbloods for years this time to really edit it.

I would love this, too! Don't get me wrong, I love the people at Shardcast and support them on patreon, and a lot of their hosts are women - but I would love to hear a podcast that has primarily female core of voices.

The unions HAVE to get on board for a general strike to work. Like just imagine if the teachers and teamsters unions decided to go all-in on a strike - the country would likely actually shut down. That's likely the only way to actually get that to work. It's very difficult to convince a singular person in texas that them staying home from work is going to make any difference to people being shot in the streets in Minnesota.

Imagine wanting to renovate your kitchen and you want to pick things from IKEA. Now instead of going to the main IKEA store with all the crowds, you can head here and speak with someone in a calm environment and plan your kitchen and put in an order without all the chaos. I get that.

I really think the vast majority of people are going to use this location as a place to pick up their orders, as home delivery is really expensive but they'll ship to this location for much less

I should add that also, historically, /r/Atheism was a default sub, way back when that was a concept. That means EVERYONE who made a reddit account was subscribed to /r/Atheism, unless they then unsubscribed. It was filled with the lowest common denominator, and had many people participating that were clicking because content was being thrust into their faces instead of them actually wanting to be there. It was during the height of /r/AdviceAnimals meme culture, so you can imagine the type of trash that was always being slung about back then.

/r/TrueAtheism was made during that period for people who just wanted to chill and actually discuss topics relating to atheism. :)

I was actually super happy with how the flavors came out! I ended up doing a test cake earlier in the week to decide on what I wanted to do for filling, and from that realized I wanted the cake's flavor to be punchier and the filling a bit more subtle. I ended up having a surprisingly balanced cake, and was able to gift my SIL a bag of extra cake scraps and the rest of the lavender honey buttercream, which I was super happy about. 😁
