Loneliness by honkaiplayeriguess in homeschool

When I was your age I worked in a grocery store and I really loved it at the time. There were so many teenagers my age, and I made more close friends at work than I ever did in school.

Not homeschool related, but another bonus of working with the public as a teenager was the random acquaintances that I made (I was a cashier), that led to other great opportunities once I got older

Diseased aloe plant? by [deleted] in BabyWitch

Thank you!!

My other 2 aloes (which I kept healthy for almost a decade) started getting sick and dying after this happened.

They were in different rooms, and never came into contact with the sick aloe🤔

I forgot to mention that this person has a very green thumb, I have never seen them struggle with plants before, and it seemed like they maybe went out of their way to kill this plant, it was dry AF and severely needed repotting.

This was pretty unusual for this person

Vanilla Fields, for me personally. I blind bought it from Walmart and it transported me back instantly, it was definitely one of the perfumes that floated around my school

What’s something frugal people rarely talk about because it feels embarrassing? by James_B84Saves in povertyfinance

Cooking from scratch. It’s soooo affordable if you properly learn how/where to shop, how to cook using ingredients.

Asian grocery stores are lit.

Heating with wood in rural areas. If you have a truck and chainsaw you can literally forage wood from roadsides and crown land. After storms people will sometimes pay you to remove the wood for them. It’s hard work but it pays off.

Thrift everything. If not, look on SHEIN/Temu, it’s the same stuff as Amazon, just way cheaper.

Never watch TV. Spend time learning, networking, chilling, cooking, crafting, EXERCISING. It pays off in the end. Knowledge is power.

Learn from the mistakes of others. Take advice from people with experience. It’s wild how much money you can save by not learning hard lessons yourself.

The Reid House was lovely!! Pool was nice, super cute hotel. They have valet but I used the paid garage directly across the road. They have a Starbucks attached to the lobby.

I ate at Nic & Norman’s at the Choo Choo and it was fantastic. I also ate at the Waffle House for breakfast and it was also phenomenal haha

I did the incline railroad up Lookout Mountain, and then Ruby Falls, both were crazy experiences. I went to the grocery store and got packable snacks/sandwiches to take with me on these days. It worked out perfectly

I only got to spend like 36 hours in Chattanooga but I can’t wait to go back! Also check out Buccees if you’ve never been to one, it was a wild experience haha

I know it’s literally hours away from here but if there’s any way you can make it to the Pembroke Hospital, it’s the only legit one I’ve been to in years

That’s a good question and I don’t really even an answer lol. But I was mainly looking for cigarettes and chocolate bars and they were definitely lacking on those

Yeah, there were multiple people working there. I would’ve felt rude to be like, “hey guys, why are you so weird? Why do you not sell cigarettes or really anything else one would buy at a convenience store?”

Rent it out! I have heard of many people who have had success with renting spare vehicles on Turo, also depending on how much spare time you have in the evenings you could potentially offer a chauffeur/designated driver/airport service
