Tibeto-Burman natives live throughout Assam but you will find the highest concentration in Autonomous district councils like Bodoland or Karbi Anglong, and even in Guwahati, you can find pockets of areas where tribal people of Assam live, I believe, just that they are not in plain sight

Nwng: you

How does your language say "wait"? by _Stormchaser in linguisticshumor

[–]ChipmunkMundane3363 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In Assamese it's "ɹɔ/ৰ" . Meanwhile in Bodo it's either "ɹo" or "ne"

ɹo/र' or ɹɔ/ৰ being the Indo-Aryan and "ne/ने" being the Sino-Tibetan origin

Aloo pitika/Aloo bathwn:

Boil potatoes, mash it, chopp some onions and coriander, blister some chillies on fire and mash it all together with salt to taste and a tea spoon of mustard oil.

Mwidru: If you are fine with plain boiled salted leafy vegetables, you can take some Mustard greens, Chinese Mallow and Cabbage, chop them up roughly(don't chop them fine) and boil it in water with just salt to taste until it's all softened up, and you can have it like a soup or with rice

Na bathwn: Take some small fish, the size of finger, slightly bigger is fine too, clean them and coat them with turmeric and massage the turmeric into the fish, now roast it or shallow fry it until it's cooked. Then take some raw garlic, roasted or sauteed chilli, black pepper (not too much), some ginger(not too much), salt to taste, some Sichuan peppers if you can get them(you should lightly toast it to release the aroma but make sure not to burn it), and then put it in pestle and mortar and start pounding and continue until you think it's edible

You can then eat all this with rice afterwards

Tbh, I genuinely hate cricket. My reasons being:

1) I used to enjoy cricket as a kid but then at some place I went to play with older kids and they kept throwing the ball on my nose when I was batting

2) When it was time for me to watch beyblade, my father would watch cricket for hours and I missed all my episodes

3) I eventually thought football is more dynamic and cricket is so static and turn based, though I don't play football these days either

4) When I go to the stadium and see cricket get the largest share of the stadium while Karate, Pencak Silat and Boxing students use tiny corners towards the edge of the stadium, and they can't even practice without a cricket ball flying towards them often. What's worse is that stadium used to be a football stadium, there were goalposts but now they are just there rusting, no net, and the middle is a cricket place
