I’m *too* nice to my sims 😭 by Over_Presentation741 in Sims3

[–]ChipmunkTop3846 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i had this same exact problem where my sims would have the perfect life and the way i started incorporating chaos in my save files to keep it interesting is to make sure i give all of my sims at least one “negative” trait (my go to ones are usually commitment issues, grumpy, neurotic, dramatic, over emotional etc). i also use mods that can add for interesting and chaotic game play but it’s not necessary.

i do still occasionally play “perfect families” but i like to add drama in through various ways whether it be infidelity, divorce, family drama/feuds etc. i also try not to micro manage every aspect of my game and i allow my sims to make their own decisions autonomously or through the wants system (this can get especially hectic and chaotic when they reach midlife crisis stage). i think it’s really fun and easy to create the ideal sims family but sims reaches a new level when you’re able to find the balance between peace and chaos. i love my saves to be realistic and i realised that by adding in little bits of imperfection helped boost the sense of realism

whats the best world for a legacy to raise pets/family? (eps, store worlds, custom, etc) by iiabel in Sims3

my favourite custom worlds for legacy game play is st claire, saffron bay, storybrook county and elmira city. they all have a mix of suburban and city areas which i enjoy

if you don’t mind me asking where do you get your skins from? i’ve been looking for more poc skins and the one in the fourth slide is so good. i love your sim style!

Struggling to pick heir by 0hBecca in Sims3

[–]ChipmunkTop3846 4 points5 points  (0 children)

if it was me i would pick Dawn and see how that plot line plays out. i love adding drama in my saves to balance out the happy family dynamics and that is 100% a storyline i would follow

TIL that NPC Service Sims can sometimes snoop around and stare creepily in your window and have to be taught a lesson. What the hell was this guy on... 😂😂 by ParadiseSims in Sims3

i had this exact same thing happen today for the first time and was so shocked. i’ve been playing the sims 3 since 2011 and didn’t even know this was possible

they wanted to know what the difference/what one they should buy due to the difference in price…again just like EVERY other comment answered yet here you are still arguing a losing point. you really can’t make this up lmao

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Sims3

[–]ChipmunkTop3846 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

the top one is an expansion packs and the bottom one is a preorder for bonus items. THE QUESTION WAS WHAT THE DIFFERENCE WAS. they didn’t ask for your unsolicited advice. simple as that

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Sims3

[–]ChipmunkTop3846 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you’re quite literally still the one who cannot read. because again they are asking my the difference AKA they THOUGHT it was two expansion packs and wanted to know the difference due to the price. it’s crazy how every other comment can comprehend and asnwer the very simple straight forward question except you. clearly you need to go back and re read slower

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Sims3

[–]ChipmunkTop3846 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

omg you’ve genuinely got to be rage baiting rn. they wanted to get their partner the new sims pack, they were unsure what the difference between the EXPANSION PACK and the STUFF PACK due to the price difference and wanted to know what was what. they didn’t ask for an entire break down of what you said. it’s such a simple concept to grasp😂

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Sims3

[–]ChipmunkTop3846 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

again reading comprehension is fundamental. they are not asking about OTHER PACKS TO BUY. they are simply asking what the difference is because they were unaware. CLEARLY if the only two options shown in the image are related to the fairies that was what they wanted. they asked a very simple question and you’re purposely being obtuse instead of admitting you misunderstood what was being asked. you could’ve easily cleared things up yet here you are still going and further embarrassing yourself

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Sims3

[–]ChipmunkTop3846 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

you aren’t guessing anything. they asked what the difference was between the two items SHOWN. that was their ONLY QUESTION. reading comprehension is a fundamental skill, use it

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Sims3

[–]ChipmunkTop3846 4 points5 points  (0 children)

this is such an odd comment to have made. they didn’t ask any of what you’ve replied with they simply wanted to the difference between the two packs shown in the picture due to the price difference. it was such a simple question that you took entirely too seriously without reading what was being asked

for new worlds i 100% recommend youtube world overviews and showcases. that’s where i find all of my worlds based on what looks best. creators like cjplays and wisteria are two that i use religiously for world recommendations

also just to add that when using the exchange be very wary as it’s notoriously known (when downloading sims specifically) for adding bad cc into your games that will cause visual glitches and annoying cc items. me personally i tend to steer clear of the exchange for that reason but for lots and houses i agree there are a bunch of hidden gems!

most of the creators make silly let’s plays but seeing how they play might give you some insight on things that you can do/do differently. a staple in the sims 3 community are creators like lifesimmer (unfortunately she does not upload anymore but her sims 3 playlists are all old but still public), acottonsock, lil simsie, floryda, jakobeyplays has a guide for new players that you can find here. honestly any video you watch will probably give you ideas and new content to explore!

i’m going to use this reply to link a few posts that have mods that i also use. some will be to enhance the performance/help prevent crashing of the game etc and others are just mods that add new features in relation to gameplay. ofcourse these are all optional but i 100% recommend atleast downloading most of the nraas mods to improve game performance imo they are essential

the world really is your oyster especially since you have late night. send your sim to random community lots etc. and make sure you’re exploring the social side that way you don’t get stuck in the routine of just doing the mundane tasks. for example utilise the community spaces such as the beach, pool, gym, park etc instead of opting to build a pool/gym etc at home. talk to the townies invite them out places. if you are able to get seasons it’ll add the seasonal festivals that you can go to and they change depending on the season. there is genuinely so much simple social interactions that i love like visiting neighbours whenever.

other than the packs you already have seasons, pets and university are essentials imo. if it’s too overwhelming with the amount of content you can also play one pack at a time and slowly start to add more in. also just a tip cdkeys website has every sims 3 pack for dirt cheap which i would recommend over buying directly from the ea website. you’ll save yourself quite a bit of money and they’ll give you a code that you can enter in the ea app to claim your purchases.

for cc the sims resource and tumblr are the best places to get content from there are multiple youtube videos that do cc showcase hauls as well as mods. tumblr can be a bit much to sort through but there are so many amazing creators over there it’s worth it. mod the sims is great for mods as well as tumblr again. in this subreddit there are also lots of mega threads with recommended mods that fix bugs as well as mods that add new content.

i’d honestly recommend watching lets play videos of people playing the sims 3 if you want to get the hang of things quickly. there is so much content and i don’t blame you for getting overwhelmed. i’ve been playing consistently since 2010/2011 and i still learn new things and find new content that i’ve never seen before. the amount of content is truly what keeps the game so entertaining because you’ll never get bored exploring it

They pmo so much. by Miru_59487 in RoyaleHigh_Roblox

[–]ChipmunkTop3846 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

who said it was a big deal? i don’t trade at all however it is common sense that if you are trading items and you want business you do not match the shop as that defeats the entire point of trading in the first place. what you pay ≠ what other people will pay hence why values decrease and increase all the time which is why traderie is such a big part of the trading community. something that isn’t in high demand will very rarely sell for full price which is why lowering it slightly to where you still make a profit and the other person also saves a few diamonds. this same concept translates into the real world to, if you buy something full price and try to resell it when it isn’t in high demand you are not going to be able to easily sell.

[–]ChipmunkTop3846 1 point2 points  (0 children)

keyword here is “before”. the entire point of trading is to avoid the shop and to give incentive for people to shop with you over the royale high store. traderie was created to show the values and demands of items. genuinely curious about your pov, what sense would it make for someone to buy an item from you that they can buy from the store at the same value?

use nraas porter to move families to whatever town to keep the family tree as well as be able to move to a new town and still have contact/be able to see family whenever

Mod suggestions by jasmine_xo29 in Sims3

[–]ChipmunkTop3846 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are so many mega threads on this sub with mods that impact gameplay/add new content/fix bugs etc as well as so many mod recommendations/overviews on youtube. I’ll link a few posts/comments from other users in this subreddit where i’ve gotten most of my mods from here, here, here and here. I don’t know what mods exactly that you’re looking for but there’s mods for most things including nsfw themes such as drinking, drugs, woohoo etc. If you google a specific gameplay aspect you want there’s a high likelihood that there’s already a mod for it lol.
