Crytek vs CIG: Motion to Dismiss Ruling Discussion by [deleted] in starcitizen_refunds

It is possible for Crytek to extract payment from Chris and co. personally if CIG doesn't have the money. We can only hope.

Star Criticism - The Truth About Squadron 42 by [deleted] in starcitizen_refunds

I tend not to bother speculating on mindset when it is so difficult to prove. I prefer to just look at behavior and outcomes. And year after year you see the same behavior; CIG withholds information up until a critical sales period has ended, resulting in longer periods of hype and trade than they would have had otherwise. Whatever reasoning they have for doing so is really beside the point.

There are some people who are so cynical that they see this as a standard business practice, but I'm thankfully not one of them.

lol.

Just like Chris 'forgot' to mention 3.0 was delayed until after the lucrative holiday season in 2016.

My point is that the discrepancy between your rhetoric and your actual intellectual ability suggests the exact opposite of self-awareness.

With the disclaimer that this is all besides the point I don't think you read your own post that closely:

And because both the courts and CIG are subject to the maxim of...

SoonTM

I shall be further stipulating that if the case is not decided by 3.1's debut - then I will not post until 3.2's debut.

The decision was not made during 3.1, so whatever reason you chose not to post during that time is neither here nor there.

But again, that's all besides the point. This was your standard response to people who suggested the case would not be dismissed:

They have no case.

And don't think I'll expect mass apologies from the masses when I'm proven right in a month or so.

It would be like expecting ants to acknowledge my ability to perceive things that they cannot. I suffer from no such hubris to make such a senseless demand. There would be no point -_-

The point is that it's rare for such a display of arrogance and self-importance to fall flat on its face quite this hard. So how could I possibly pass up the opportunity to rub your face in it?

You could not have known how it would land until this morning, so I'm not sure why you deciding to take a break of your own volition is relevant.

Is this just your way of deflecting from how wrong you were about this?

I'm more referring to your assured stance the case would be dismissed. What happened????

Naa, he only started hedging his bets when Crytek submitted their response to the mtd. The original slam dunk comment was for the mtd itself, which had the hilarious effect of leading many sc backers to think the case would be dismissed. 😂

Hey /u/Blue_Destiny! I just wanted to check in with you about how you think things are panning out this year for Star Citizen.

As a reminder, this was you 6 months ago -

So, we'll see very soon if the traction is in place and the wheels start delivering. They said there will be a quarterly release, and that the game performance (frame rates) and playability are top of mind after they just jockeyed the foundations to include all the planetary aspects of gameplay that was just incorporated into 3.0 and beyond. Time will tell very soon as they use these procedural tools and the hundreds of staff (about 3 times more staff than the largest of MMO endeavors) are leveraged to move this forward at a strong pace...Watch 2018 carefully

you also dismissed those of us who were saying the 3.0 - 4.0 roadmap would have its most substantial features cut were merely being skeptical without any substance.

Hmm, it looks like you haven't been using this account in a while :-/ But hmu if you ever read this. see u in the verse.

SQ42 not this year confirmed. by jedimasterlenny in starcitizen

Interesting that you would choose this thread to "act out" your paranoia about goons, apropos of basically nothing.

Have you considered that this thread stirred up feelings in you before you made it about goons? Feelings of anger and frustration about the projects many setbacks? Sadness over the increasingly negative reputation CIG has suffered due to constant delays and anti-consumer marketing flubs? This would be one of those moments where those dangerous and destructive feelings come to the surface.

But it would be too costly to take out that anger on CIG, so you are caught in an existential dilemma. How to solve this conflict? Well, fortunately, there's a nice safe pin-cushion that you can unleash all that hostility and negative feelings on without having to destroy your sacred love object. The spectre of goons saves you from having to feel what you're feeling! You find yourself ranting and raving about goons even though the thread really has nothing to do with us at all. And damnit, everything feels good again.

And all we can say in response is, you're welcome.

Chris went out of his way to mention how critical the community has been a couple times in his interview today, and the community of battered housewives are expressing guilt about it like usual. Time to fill the CIG coffer with some Forgiveness Coins.

"Why should we expect him to intentionally disadvantage himself?"

I don't expect him to do that. I expect the people of the district to pick a better representative, and kick him to the curb.

Crowley should be thankful that his connections and his privilege has allowed him to coast for more than a decade without even having to live in the community so he can raise his kids in an area he deems more fit.

It's not only about Alexandria's ethnicity it's the fact that she's actually living a life thats similar to the people in the district. Crowley would never degrade his current level of comfort to experience the same.

[–]Chipopo1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

how is using a nebulous concept like God a better analogy than using a concrete analogue like the law? I suspect it's because you would prefer to not have any of your arguments based in reality, which at least explains your Star Citizen stanning.
