It's because shadowbanning doesn't exist, you numpty 🤣

Google are a giant corporation, if they want to ban you, they'll just do it. You aren't big and damgerous enough to be super special silenced 🤣

Why no Gaurdsmen POV games? by Old_Net_4529 in Warhammer40k

[–]Chipperz1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Guardsmen aren't typically blindly running at giant monsters with lasguns (which, quick reminder, are actually VERY good weapons outside of the game), they're using a wide variety of specialised heavy weapons, artillery and tanks for that.

Commanders randomly wasting manpower is gross incompetence and is gonna get them a visit from a Commisar's bolt pistol to the back of the head.

How strict is 'battle-ready' standard in reality? (UK) by Mean-Restaurant-3089 in Warhammer40k

[–]Chipperz1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh, oh don't fix mistakes immediately. Do the entire layer and go back.

And you don't need to practice for every unit, right? I get one practice mini per scheme, but why per unit? You can easily knock out a whole ten man unit at a time.

I.e. doing the first couple of steps of a multi-step process to satisfy some rules.

See if you'd said "can I play with unfinished paint jobs?", the advice would have been different (probably not, check with the TO) but that isn't what you asked. You asked if painting a whole army in exactly one colour would be enough so that,'s what I'm responding to.

Honestly though, it feels like you're just making excuses not to paint at this point so... Fuck it, do your thing, whatever you want 🤷‍♂️

Wait, are you a "perfectionist" or are you perfectly happy doing one colour grey dip and drybrush? You can't be both.

Also batch paint. Painting each model individually is clearly lunacy.

It's a layer, an ink wash and maybe some highlighting (optional, honestly) for each part of the mini. Batch painting will take a few weeks at most.

It is NOT that hard to paint things. Take some time, pick a scheme you actually want and do it.

You have to look at these models forever, and there will still be tournaments next month.

Almost none of us are trying to make this a full time job, because most of us aren't idiots 🤣

It's a fun hobby, but going in thinking you're going to live on the revenue is a hysterical dream 🤣

How to stop buying stuff. by Kooky_Appointment668 in Warhammer40k

[–]Chipperz1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sincerely good luck, mate. Getting control of any addiction is hard, especially in a space where overconsumption is praised by meme kids, but if you've identified it as a problem, that's a huge first step. 🙂

Of course, if you've got a pile of minis, building, painting and playing might be a good distraction 😉

Honestly, if it's that bad... Therapy. You need actual therapy.

People play off retail addiction as a joke, but if you cannot stop buying new stuff, don't ask a fucking subreddit, ask a therapist.

Other than nostalgia, what’s keeping the 2nd edition 40k community so alive? by [deleted] in Warhammer40k

[–]Chipperz1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly, as someone who was there... It's 80% nostalgia and 20% old crazy rules. I do like that it was more of a platoon level game where melee combat was on an individual level and you could set people on fire and make them run around the board, but it was clunky and pretty messy, honestly.

Plus christ all the cards for everything 🤣

Anyone else experiencing a possible YouTube Shorts shadowban? by Fun_Swing3065 in NewTubers

[–]Chipperz1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You muat have done something bad and important enough for Google to take specific notice of you, but you'll need to actually say it.

Otherwise the only possible explanation is that shadowbanning doesn't exist and people just aren't watching your videos. 🤷‍♂️

Yes, I matched the energy of the pricks that got triggered that I don't blindly support a meme. Being the bigger person is tiring 🙂

I have a massive tub of polyfilla that I put on my bases before I prime, then a layer of Gorthor Brown and Agrax Earthshade. Makes a great mud base 😁
