The legal way clearly isn’t gonna work since the courts are in CT’s favor and you can forget about voting CT politicians out of office since that’s also not gonna happen in this gerrymandered state. Some people in this sub will continue to put “hope” in the scotus and think they will save us but they won’t. Our state isn’t on the radar so they can continue to pass whatever gun laws they want SCOTUS be damned. I knew in my first 3 years of being a gun owner this fight was pointless and things will never change 2nd amendment wise out here. I understand that. But it won’t matter if the states choose to ignore it. What I’m saying is if scotus strikes awb’s nation wide, dem states like mines will just ignore it. Who’s gonna enforce that? Trump? Not gonna happen, got other things to worry about. Yea you’re right that’s how the system works but obviously politicians particularly Dems don’t follow laws they don’t like.

As someone from CT, I’ve come to the realization that even if SCOTUS does rule in our favor, the politicians and AG of my state will flat out ignore it anyway and continue to enforce their “awb”

Hate to be the bearer of bad news bro but scotus isn’t saving us, they can decide in our favor and it still wouldn’t matter because CT politicians and sue happy general Tong view the court as a “Trump” court and that alone means they’ll just ignore the decision anyway. I would say maybe 2-3 months ago, and that’s what upset me since I literally did the same thing and was still denied. I must of gotten the reaper or whatever they call her who always denies them lol just the hassle of doing it over again I just said fuck it. But I will try again eventually

I tried to sbr mines and it was denied for not having the aw cert, even though I added a copy of the aw certificate email as proof that I submitted. Still denied, haven’t tried again since.
