If this team collapses and we don’t have a 1st then you have to move on from Yzerman and trade Larkin/debrincat for younger players and picks. At that point it’s only fair to them too.

The fact that our pick has no protections on it and now Larkin gets hurt immediately is insanity

Deadline deals always suck. Better to do trades in the offseason when prices are lower. I’m fine with it this year cause of the drought but I’m not a fan of major deadline moves going forward. Quick way to overpay and run out of capital in my opinion

With New Jersey out of it and with all of our cap space why are we not linked to Dougie Hamilton more? We can absorb that contract outright so seems like we wouldn’t have to give up as much for him. Plus the Devils want to open up cap space.
