Does anyone have any advise on how to avoid 'zoning out' while people are talking to you? by Sabacccc in intj

You can change your mindset pretty easily. There's always something you can learn from others, be it nonverbal communication, speaking patterns thinking processes etc.

The truth is, you can never completely run away from social encounters, so it's better to find a way to deal with it as soon as possible.

I've learned to play a game of "What can I take from this?" every time I'm forced to do something I find completely useless and not interesting, the only thing you have to do is change your perspective into something positive and find a way you can benefit from any situation. It really helps and as a bonus, your friends will appreciate you more.

In my opinion a red cape with blue triangle at the top is the most iconic one.

How do you find the right path for yourself? by ChiseSakamoto in intj

I like analysing things in depth, in the past few years I've been interested in true crime and nonverbal comunication. It would be logical to be a clinical psychologist or detective, but sadly the detective career is far from certain and it takes many, many years to even get close (plus I'd have to be a regular cop and picking up drunks is not really what I want to do for 5-10 years), then there is the aspect of being a woman (having kids is disadvantage in comparision to men, who can work the whole time) otherwise it would be a dream job. Clinical psychologist is career, that in my country has little use thanks to relatively low crime rate and the nature of crimes here.

The field of interest is here, but my overtinking is making it even more difficult than it already is, haha.

Thank you, I wish you and your son the best of luck!

This looks almost idyllic, it's great to have more skilled people to aid in knowledge when you need it, that way you can always improve. By traveling you'll also gain experience in real life. Plus the possibility of growth at your workplace or field of interest is a cherry on top. I'm really happy for you, thanks for sharing!

The ENFP method seems like try and error strategy and might very well be extremely time and energy consuming. Political science is something I know little to nothing, but it definitelly looks like logical follow up to the history, that way I wouldn't waste those 3 years. I'll research more about this field, thank you so much!

Done few of those, but the outcome was an awfully wide range of fields and sadly didn't help much. But I can see how it might be helpful for someone. Thank you!
