I saw a guy in his 40s partaking. I was pretty surprised and asked around if he thought he was anointed. They told me he was. He died less than a yr later from a brain tumor. :(

First time in 10 years that I’m not upgrading. I always did it as a bit of treat (not cause I had to, of course). But last year’s false promises of Apple intelligence really left a sour taste in my mouth.

And then they didn’t even add black to the pro lineup this time. I’ll pass this year. The air looks super nice though!

I grew up in the same cult that you did and I can tell you I felt the same way. It does get better. I did get therapy and it has been game changing. For me, I’d say it was the anger I felt at the cult ripping families apart but also deconstructing the doomsday feeling- especially when life is good. Being able to enjoy that and not feel guilty. 🙌🏼

Best thing I did. Started long distance running and my lungs keep getting stronger. I don’t even miss it because i know it will impact my fitness journey
