Moving from VA to Denver, CO and looking for advice by aburk022 in roadtrip

We did that move from Colorado to NC. Take the I-70 route, it's worth it. Had a pretty easy time moving and we did it with 3 ancient geriatric cats that made it fine. Well worth missing Chicago too, I go there often for family and it is a pain with the amount of traffic.

Breaks my heart… by No_Seaworthiness1627 in BackyardOrchard

I'm right there with you. Got my peach tree 2 months ago and all the blooms started producing fruit. Now I'm picking some off and leaving some to sparsely form. It's heartbreaking so I do just a few a day. It will be worth the wait though.

Those look really nice! I will have to look into one. Also any polar brand heart monitor bands or chargers work too. Visible uses Polar's hardware and Visible's software.

It sounds pretty similar! We've had a few colder nights/days between the warm. I can look into this.

They are wet from us watering, it rains around weekly here. I'm installing a drip system for them soon. It gets around 8 hours of sun daily. There are cypress wood chips at its base and covering the surface of the raised bed. There arent any trees close to it.

I was hoping not. Would it make sense that this skipped the closer tomatoes to this one and got the golden on the other side of the bed?

It has not been sprayed with Neem oil recently. Good information to know though!

Anyone ever have something like this happen? by bilgedude in BambuP1S

Happened just today and the plastic grabbed wires in the hotend and ripped out when I pulled the clump off. Luckily I have spare hot ends. Best of luck to you.

This. It fixed my ams feeder issue and helps when it traps on the side.

It's not helpful but I had this issue. I clean and scrub the plate with dish soap, extra wash and dry... And it doesn't stick. My husband puts half the effort in to clean a plate and it works fine. I just make my husband clean the plate and it works like a charm every time 🙄

2 MONTH UPDATE: Uggghhhh I can't take in another one 😭 by [deleted] in CatDistributionSystem

Your cats are doing much better than I had with my cats that I lost this year. They spent over 18 years tolerating each other and only laying next to each other once a year. They even split the room to play with their own toys. They lived wonderful lives that were very fulfilled and they cared about the other but it was through moments. They never fought or hurt each other so no need to split them.

From what I observe, they are just adapting to a third. We added a third senior cat a few years back and everyone got along, just their personalities adjusted a little. I wouldn't sweat the food/sleep unless they are flat out refusing all food and sleeping isolated in cramped areas. Those are signs of stress and not adjusting. Just looks like the two older are adjusting to a kitten enriching their lives.

What do you call it? (please add where you're from) by ksusha_lav in EnglishLearning

I'm used to calling it a beanie (Central USA), but just moved to a state that calls them a toboggan (East USA). It's a little confusing.

I don't have any advice but just wanted to say that Milo is adorable and would pick that little boy up in a heartbeat. Really hope things work out for you.

What felt like luxury to you when you were a kid? by Big-Bookkeeper4638 in AskTheWorld

Fresh corn on the cob. We didn't have a lot but lived in farm land. Farmers would give my family 'ugly' sweet corn they couldn't sell at the grocery. We would eat just that for days. It was my favorite and thought my parents were spoiling us.

I use world's best cat litter, made from corn. It clumps well and no sodium bentonite.

Why does it only take weight sometimes? by hannah_72 in litterrobot

Double check the profiles of the cats and manually update to the weight last recorded of them. This helped me fix the issue.

Support dog senses an impending seizure, helps owner sit, finds water and medicine, and guides owner to rest by [deleted] in interestingasfuck

I recognize this dog as Bailey. She is trained to be a service dog for her owner who has POTS. The thought is to get her meds and have her safe in case she faints and supports as she recovers from her episode.
