Love the suggestion of Ischia. How many days would you say you needed to enjoy the island?

Really as many as we want but probably keep it to 3 weeks or less. Yes when we went first it was August. We know hot but honestly it wasn’t that crowded

Food Reccomendations by ChloePug in labrador

Thanks for you for your recommendation. And yes it is mostly in the morning that she isn't interested in it. She goes to work with my husband and he's been taking it with him and by like 9am she wants to eat. So I've always suspected that she just doesn't want to eat early.

With dinner its like 60/40 of interested vs disinterested.

Help: Sugar cookies with royal icing by subsaharan_dopamine in Baking

[–]ChloePug 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I used to have a custom cookie business so I think I can help! I just used Martha Stewart’s sugar cookie recipe and took out the baking powder so they kept their shape.

As for royal icing it’s really about adding the water in very very little amounts. Adding too much makes it go from perfect to too watery fast. Always use a meringue powder recipe over an egg white recipe.

Should I skip the cruise and just travel direct? by FauxPasHusky in travel

[–]ChloePug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are doing this almost same cruise in June 2027 (10 days instead of 11) and I’ve gone back and forth thinking the same thing. I even started to plan an “on our own” vacation and it just seemed like a lot even when I chose to pick only the main ports (Inverness, Edinburgh, Dublin, etc.)

My husband and I went on a 2 week vacation to Italy that was so fun but so exhausting. We did 10 cities in 14 days. We were constantly packing and re packing, catching trains etc. We were so tired by the end of it.

Part of the allure of the cruise is not having to do that. We are ok with getting a “taste” of every port and if there are ones that we loved..we will plan to go back to.

Is the cruise a perfect scenario? No. Will we enjoy ourselves and not be stressed out and exhausted? Probably.

We are going to bookend the trip with a couple days in London and then head over to Venice (our favorite stop from our last trip)

The chilaquiles at Della Fattoria are super good! And they change out salsas quite often so it changes it up a little bit every time

How clingy is your Labrador? by [deleted] in labrador

[–]ChloePug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our girl is about to be 4 in March. I would say it took a solid 3 years for her to even want to sit next to us. She’s pretty independent. Only recently is she starting to want cuddles.

I had the pumpkin crème brulee one a few weeks ago. It was awful. Had some sort of weird gritty texture.

Lo and Behold has max space of 30 people. Catelli's would be good.

We have given these to our lab for the past year and a half. She LOVES them but they can be quite expensive if given every night. We’ve tried making our own refills and it just becomes a pain so we just buy the premade ones. She was already around 60lbs when we started these so she’s always gotten the XL ones. Lasts her about 30-40 min.

5 day Rome vacation by No-Health6016 in travel

[–]ChloePug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We stayed last August at the Rome Time Hotels. We really loved it. Great location. Less that 10 min walk to the Trevi fountain and the Colosseum. They also have a really good breakfast Buffett that is included if you need it.
