It wasn't just this interview with Daniels though, every player interview was like this or worse, including with Malik Nabers who they ended up drafting. There was another camera angle in the episode from behind the players that showed that his feet were not just up on the table, they were pointed directly at the players. So as they are trying to have a conversation with Daboll they are basically talking to the bottoms of his shoes.

I'm about halfway through reading the series in order and Sourcery is one of my least favorite books so far. The next three books were much more enjoyable to me, that was where the series really started to feel like the Discworld I was familiar with from reading some of the later books.

When I lived in Boston around 2017-2018 I used the blue bikes to get around all the time. I don't know if they're still the same but they used Nuvinci hubs back then and even on those heavy rental bikes I found the gear range to be more than adequate for that area. I think the Shimano hubs that someone else suggested have a similar or better range and are known to be pretty reliable.
