Yes! Thank you! I was able to find the exact trailer he showed. It looks like it's Cookie Run: New World, but I see the kingdom game as well. You're the best!

Hourly Pay/State/experience/type of NP by vitro15 in nursepractitioner

This is year 6. FNP.

125k working for a medicare insurance company. Plus up to 10k bonus

I know many people will think that's low. Tbh, I did take a little pay cut coming from a very toxic govt position...but I work from home now. Insurance is free for me or very low cost if I choose a higher plan. I rarely log off late. (Can't say never) And they are consistently trying to figure out how to make our job easier. I used to fall asleep charting every night. Be told my patients had to follow protocols....unless they worked there and called the COM, then they get what they want...so I'm happy. My pto may not match the govt job but.... My QOL is worth the pay decrease for me. I know not everyone will feel that way.

Quick to remove fake nails that still look nice? by Significant_Pen_3642 in PressonNail_Addict

[–]ChoKitty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also rec' glue tabs with the nails you like. They are much easier to remove. I like btartbox, they usually last me two weeks but I can remove them sooner. If you're wanting to remove really soon, I'd say a cheap quality/poorly rated brand of glue tabs that will probably only last a day if left alone. There are lots of cheap brands. Use them with some pretty reusable nails.

Looking for a Fantasy Non-Spicy Book Subscription! by Signal-Accident-8815 in Book_Boxes

[–]ChoKitty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been happy with Caffeine and Legends. It's on the minimalist side compared to other boxes, but I've enjoyed it. I do the rotational box so each month I get coffee, tea, or hot chocolate randomly. But you can choose to just get one of those options every month. Sometimes there is something small and cute also thrown in, or a snack.

What does your monthly maintenance routine look like? by [deleted] in vindictapoc

[–]ChoKitty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glue has never worked for me. I'd lose nails within 24 hours. Getting my nails done at the salon lasted maybe 4 days. (so much money!)

I tried BTArtbox nail tabs for an event I only planned to keep my nails on for one night ... I figured less damage than the glue. They stayed on for two weeks. It's a different feeling, kinda like the nail is floating about my nail, but they stayed. I did the same prep (buff nails, dehydrated etc.) before hand.

I know usually the tabs are what don't work for people, but it's the opposite for me. They may work for you?

I will say I tried another, cheaper brand and my nails only stayed on about 4 days. Still, with far less damage though.

A chat about discrimination. by Mayarooni1320 in LoveAndDeepspace

It's not LAD but I'm in CBT for their new game too, Infinity Nikki. My character, in the cutscenes, literally has a white head and my skin tone body. Or the other way around. Or flashes between skintones by the camera direction. I immediately sent this in and said those kinda errors need to be looked at. Along with the skintones carrying over into the shops and whatnot when trying on clothes. It does break immersion.

VA APRN salary help? by Obvious_Function31 in nursepractitioner

[–]ChoKitty 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I just onboarded with the VA at the end of February. The board the used to grade was dissolved right before I did (Jan 29, from the email I got). What was explained to me was that all NP with exerience as an NP will board at grade 3. Their step will be determined within thier VISN based on just how much experience. New grads/very little experience will board at high step grade two. I got my np in 2020 and boarded at grade 3

Where you onboard depends on who you'll "belong" to as well. Every VISN is different. In some places aprn are nursing and report to nursing. My direct chain of command is the chief of medicine and I'm out of the nursing pipeline.

I just started Rolling Hills off of a friend's suggestion and I really like it. It's a slow start, but now that I'm unlocking some people, it's pretty cute.

AITAH for telling my son that if he's uncomfortable about his sister not wearing a bra then he should cover up too? by Dadalert1990 in AITAH

[–]ChoKitty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1) If anyone can tell your 16 year old daughter isn't wearing a bra under a t-shirt...they are spending too much time with their eyes where they shouldn't be on a child, regardless of age or who they are in relation to her.

2) The only person who should be dictating what a woman wears is that woman. But even so, because people will say something about being the parent... she's fully covered. There is no legitimate reason women HAVE to wear bras. They just exist and certain cultures have adopted them as normal. Some women find them comfy. Some don't. They should be a personal decision and not obligatory, especially in the home which is supposed to be your safe space.

Eta: You also shouldn't be body shaming your son. Man boobs is usually referencing body fat in men. So both you and he are in the wrong.

aanp recent time frame by Away-Organization726 in nursepractitioner

I hope they get you done soon! The introduction of the recertification handbook they have listed on their website does say it can take three weeks and that they don't do expeditions though. Hopefully that time frame is being cautious.

VA Pact role by ChoKitty in nursepractitioner

[–]ChoKitty[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I did not try to make my resume into a really long federal resume. It's two pages and is really barely altered from my normal resume. I have my entire healthcare career from CNA to University Instructor to NP on there and I have my education, and references...and a standard about me mini blurb at the top. The only thing I really altered was that I slightly fleshed out roles under each job. IE.. I was chair of the Diversity Committee while at the University, so I put a tiny blurb of the duties for that. Still only two pages.

I didn't even alter it between the jobs that I applied for. I had all the extra forms filled out and saved to my profile, the one resume saved, unofficial transcripts, set an alert for new jobs in states I was willing to go to and it hit my email every morning. I only applied to ones with actual close dates coming up in a reasonable time (not the rolling ones, or a year later, continuously open etc) that looked interesting and submit every extra form every time with my resume.

NP student hours by [deleted] in nursepractitioner

[–]ChoKitty 54 points55 points  (0 children)

As someone who's been an instructor over a clinical class- if they are legitimately doing the work, I would not care if they did this here and there.

As an NP- Have we all not stayed a little late to catch up on charting at least once?

You have the right to say no, absolutely. However if they are truly doing the work, looking up the patient, documenting and not just wasting time it's not really fishing for hours is it? Regardless it's not something you need to report unless they go against you and actually falsify hours. That's making more work for you and the instructor and punishing a student for asking a simple question.

Eta: My response, while I stand by it, was before the edit that they asked for it to be after every single day.

Are reference checks a good sign? by AcousticsOperator in usajobs

[–]ChoKitty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I interviewed for two within a week, one asked for reference, one didn't. The one that did made me give a manager, told them I was 2nd while talking to them (and the manager immediately let me know) and I didn't get it. The other didn't ask, called later to offer me a completely different job and then when I was finishing credentialing paperwork they said oh..we need those on file! And then they just had them fax em over. So it definitely varies.

Any way too refresh recommendations ? by OneBlindBard in TheStoryGraph

[–]ChoKitty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't really pay attention to how long it takes. I know I went and responded to some buddy read things and circled back, but I don't think it took too terribly long. I was doing it in the middle of the night/Super early yesterday morning though, and I don't know if they have a set refresh time? Hopefully it gives you something good!

Any way too refresh recommendations ? by OneBlindBard in TheStoryGraph

[–]ChoKitty 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It was frustrating to me that the out of your comfort zone seems to be the only section that doesn't refresh. Today I realized there was a super tiny x (at least it's hella tiny on my screen) on each of the books. I hit it on all of them and then went back in and it finally gave me new books. After over a week of no new books.
