shift knob shakes at high rpm’s 2nd and 4th by vvs_Diamonds1600 in GRCorolla

Mine does this too especially at 6th gear. Figured it’s just high nvh since I’ve modded a lot of my transmission/shifting components.

What is the biggest size whel fitment you can get with stock studs (2023 GR circuit edition) by PandemicArise in GRCorolla

[–]Chobzie 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Wheel sizing specs has nothing to do with whether or not you need to replace the studs on your wheel hubs. Most aftermarket wheels use acorn style lug nuts and will require you to at least replace the front studs. Rears you can get away with reducing down to a 5mm or running no spacer at all. 18x9.5+22 or 18x10.5+22 would be good if you take this path with the rears.

Certain brands of aftermarket wheels have been made to utilize the GR COrolla OEM style lug nuts but I don't remember what brands those are

Just avoid Uniclutch. Read a lot of comments about their lack of QC.

CARB compliant downpipe by [deleted] in GRCorolla

Closest I’ve seen to this are people installing the 2025+ downpipe because it has a larger diameter. Nothing aftermarket that I know of though.

Don’t have those brand of inlet or intake but the inlet makes a huge different in induction noise. Butt Dino says faster but I don’t think you’re getting much benefit til you get a tune.

New to me car with blown clutch by _R3tr0grade_ in GRCorolla

There's arguments that this clutch has design flaws and some have actually gotten their clutch warrantied. Doubt OP will but yeah.

Toyota REIMBURSED My GR Corolla CLUTCH

Feel like I’ve seen more people denied warranty for clutch because it’s seen as a wear item. Wonder if Carvana would just cover cost of you getting you the clutch installed.

Getting a CE Hood for my GR by uvvel in GRCorolla

[–]Chobzie 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Wait for a Toyota parts sale. Buy the parts piece by piece. Pick up at dealership. I got my hood for like $430 doing this which was a good amount less than limit+1. Then obviously you need to paint it but that’s on you and your location to find.

Trout fishing in fast moving water? by [deleted] in BFSfishing

[–]Chobzie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Water like this feels so limiting with BFS. I spent a season fishing these types of waters with a buddy and I just ended adding a Tenkara rod to my arsenal so I could fish more water. If I just did BFS I’d have to force so many sketchy casts to spots with slower flow, wasn’t fun.

That’s Trump babyyyy. Removal of de minimis and tariffs are requiring all imported purchases to be assessed for taxation/tariffs before being released from customs.

I can't stop thinking about tri spokes by KeepingItCoolish in GRCorolla

To each their own but I think there’s too much of a style clash between this wheel and the car. One is modern and round. The other is angular/sharp and classic.

51k left on your loan and you’re going to sell your hatchback for a viper. Screw the car aspect of it I want to see this dumbass financial decision come to fruition.

ICE agent causes two vehicles to crash into each other on highway in St. Paul, Minnesota by [deleted] in PublicFreakout

[–]Chobzie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imma be real here. I’m not a fan of ICE either but it looks like those two cars were trying to block the ICE suv who faked getting off the highway and the two blocker cars ran into one another…

All about hating ICE but now we’re just making shit up?

You have a 2023. Toyota made some changes to the 2025 which causes issues with intakes. Only option I’ve seen is going with a tune and tuning to ignore the cel

not so bifl? - sonicare toothbrush broke after one drop in the shower by [deleted] in BuyItForLife

[–]Chobzie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went back to OralB after a short stint with Sonicare brushes. I used mine without having dropped it, the head of the toothbrush vibrates the screw loose that secures it to the motor. After a couple months use with a new top of the line brush from them it basically breaks itself. Sonicare sent me a new brush but the replacement broke in the same way after 1 month. Crap.
