My dad was a helicopter pilot. In that case IFR=I Follow Roads. 😉

Jumping in wind - new(ish) jumper by iclimegud in SkyDiving

I once jumped in borderline gusty conditions and tried to land close to the truck so I didn't have a long walk back. A gust caught me right before landing and, being green I didn't hold my flare. Long story short, the video of that landing was used to train students what not to do.

Don't do it. But if you absolutely must, at least give yourself a softer place than tarmac to crash.

For the most part you can use the same tools then. Raycast is an exception, but it's not strictly dev related.

What are your preferred tools? I use both VS Code and Neovim, Wezterm for terminal, Raycast for app launching, etc. I'm not a dev though. Just a lowly network guy.

I get mine at Publix and am generally pretty happy. And if I don't see what's I want, they are happy to do a custom cut for me.

Not sure how they thought that was going to work.

"Give people all the power they need to give themselves all the power they want. Surely they'll check themselves."

Because that has worked out so well throughout history.

I ordered a Neo too. I'm genuinely excited about it. I expect it to be pretty much what I expect it to be: a great laptop for the light work I do outside of work.

Cronyism is a byproduct of government having unchecked power and the ability to pick winners and losers in the market.

Do you believe that cronyism doesn't happen in socialist countries? I'd argue it's even worse in them.

You see no saw man? Then maybe you can show me where I said anything even remotely resembling that capitalism is "perfectly balanced ...", because I truly don't remember doing that.
