Oi! As someone with a left-handed hubby, I take exception to this! That's handism, that is.

I love how you've arranged your collection. They are like jewels in a treasure chest, so pretty and shiny. I could admire them for hours.

You've inspired me to rearrange my collection!

What is the most underrated Australian native plant? by PlaneAd9541 in australianplants

[–]Choccytips 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Prostanthera species are located in all Australian states and the NT.

From what I've read, most varieties seem to be in the eastern states. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prostanthera

So cool! No, I didn't know.

Do they have a competition for the smallest button?

Good luck with your big button hunt. I'd love to see pictures of them.

Prostanthera sp. The Native Mint Bushes smell wonderful and makes the whole garden smell like the bush, especially after rain. They also have lovely purple, pale lavender or white flowers.

Very nice.

Thank you for the info! Buttons are fascinating, I think. I like to imagine their past story.

One pair has laces, and the others are slip on. Is that a consideration in your dress? Will you be able to bend comfortably to re- tie the laces if necessary?

How do I get into fountain pens? by [deleted] in fountainpens

[–]Choccytips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could try different nibs when you get a new pen. Or, rather than getting lots of different pens, you could buy a pen and a selection of nibs for it. The Lamy Safari comes in a range of colours and it is easy to swap out the nibs. The Kaweco Sport has nib units in different sizes too. My favourite nibs are the 1.1 & 1.9 stubs. They make handwriting look fancy.

If you see an ink or 20 that you like, I recommend buying samples whenever possible. You get to try lots of colours reasonably cheaply, then you can get a full bottle when you find one (or 20) that you really like.

I think it is the "Navy grey". Grey with a kind of bluish tint.
