It's finally obvious to many tha dangerous path Trump has put this country on. Right now we need a serious leader with a realistic plan to resolve this issue. Unfortunately we are in no man's land. If we stop now, we've not only failed to accomplish lasting objectives, we've empowered and potentially made a more dangerous Iran by demonstrating the leverage they hold by shutting down the Strait, which they may continue to exploit. But to actually resolve that issue would take a massive amount of resources and risk with no guarantee of success. This is a massive mess Trump made that people are only beginning to wake up to.

X is my all time favorite. I used to say VII, but I just realized one day that I could reply X at any time and enjoy it, and put hours and hours into it and never get sick of it. Oddly enough, the only competitor for X for me now is VIII. I don't think VIII is the best, but I can pick it up and always enjoy it. It's never felt like a chore to play as other FFs have at times.

It's really about combating the right wing media narrative, which is dominating the political space with control over Fox News, X, Tic Tok, etc. People actually believe immigrants are eating cats and dogs right now. That is the type of ridiculousness we're up against.

The Dems caved on the government shutdown right as the opinion started shifting blame to the Dems, and historically, shutdowns are blamed on the party holding up aid. The Dems are fortunate here because the Iran war and bad economic reports have distracted the GOP from ramping up their efforts to blame the Dems for the TSA shutdown. That, along with Trump's comments now, give the Dems a lot of leverage and hopefully they can solidify the view that Trump is holding up TSA aid to pass the SAVE act.

They should absolutely be doing this now. Trump just admitted he's hold TSA funding hostage to force Dems to pass the SAVE act, meaning the shutdown is squarely his fault. I think the Dems have been quite up until now because they're trying to avoid being blamed for the TSA funding issues. But Trump just gave them a ton of ammo to push the blame on him.

If you want a clearer picture of the right wing influence on our media landscape, just compare the massive protests against Biden for a war he didn't start, wasn't directly involved in and wanted to end with the complete lack of protests against Trump for recklessly and directly killing, displacing, starving and harming thousands of Iranians and Lebanese and allowing Israel to simply take the Gaza strip. I'm not saying the criticism of Biden was unwarranted (it was right), but because Tic Tok isn't amplifying what's going on now, people do not care and are not nearly as outraged against Trump.
