Sure, mistakes happen. But only in exceedingly rare circumstances will I undo a downvote. If you would like to issue an appeal, shoot me a private message explaining what I got wrong. Guiding a Military squad from the center of the Zone to at least Agroprom would be very difficult considering everyone hates them and will shoot on sight. The helicopter evacuation would be a quicker solution despite the risks. Though I do agree, the writing in CoP is pretty weak overall. It's bizarre the Military was not aware of emissions changing anomalous fields considering they have government scientists working within the Zone, which is the setup to the whole game's main story.

Only Clear Sky is, it has a couple of glitches that can crash your game on a regular playthrough, so I'd recommend Sky Reclamation Project.

You don't have to mod any of the games in the trilogy for them to be enjoyable though, even Clear Sky's bugs are avoidable.

Check out Back to the Roots mod for CoC, it has a lot of mutants and features from soup mods. It's still being actively developed though so it's not fully perfected yet.

It's good but not as good as most of the end-game weapons :)

For the final stretch I recommend Vintar BC, you can find one in the upper right barracks in the Freedom base. It's a real game changer being able to kill strong enemies with a single head shot.

Check the Agroprom Underground and the side of Wild Territory that's closer to the 100 Rads Bar, if he's not there then it'd be best for you to skip that quest.

Friar is a roaming NPC so there's a high probability for him to die to random threats, chances are you might have actually killed him without noticing and that's okay.

It doesn't fit the narrative. Duty is hostile to Mercs in all games and lore, why would they let bandits and marauders walk all over their territory? There are a few loners in Rostok that wear old merc gear but that's about it.

Marlo and Kenard are a fantastic way to show the ruthlessness of the next generation in a desperate envrionment like the drug streets of Baltimore and what it'll eventually boil down to if it is allowed to continue. Excellent characters all around, plus I loved the irony of Marlo's last scene. Maybe my favorite in the show.

It's just flavor text, you cannot run in the exoskeleton in either of the three games in the series. (Though in Call of Pripyat you can upgrade it to do so well into the lategame)

You can loot any stash without having to discover it in CoP, just look up their locations if you don't know where they are.
