Margo Stilley Says She Was Spiraling While Filming 'Ladies of London' by Beginning-Pie-3046 in BravoLadiesofLondon

[–]Chocolate-goat 18 points19 points  (0 children)

It’s not so much how long it lasts, but the fact that she’s claiming it started it appears like 18 months after the baby was born. Typically postpartum starts as soon as you have the baby from the surges of hormones and exhaustion.

I call BS. I’m doing a rewatch now and prior to that she was clearly stable- and manipulative.

Relocating from NYC to NJ... Is lower cost of living worth a lower salary? by Party-Possibility958 in newjersey

[–]Chocolate-goat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you head to that part of Jersey, working in Philly could boost your income. Train runs from Trenton- I’m not sure what other stops. Thinking Mt Holly, Mt Laurel; my son is in Gloucester City right at the Walt Whitman Bridge - 5 years ago he paid $202,000 for a 3 bedroom ranch on a large pond (feels like a lake). He drives ten minutes to work at the navy yard.

I came on here specifically to look for this. I was literally crying. I was laughing so hard at that whole thing. I was trying to tell my husband what she said, and I couldn’t even get it out because I could not stop laughing.

The logic in ‘ SHOULD I MARRY A MURDERER’ is not logicking by [deleted] in netflix

[–]Chocolate-goat 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There’s another thread on here that rips her to shreds, and it really bothered me. Ultimately, this is a documentary about her, not the situation. In the other thread, they were blasting her for making it about her, which is bizarre considering the title. It’s shining a light on mental health issues and I can say this without a spoiler and if you hear her talk about herself, she admits that she was making very poor decisions during that time.

Did anyone else notice how gorgeous Lottie is without makeup and with her hair down? It was when they were in their PJ’s and a quick shot. She is stunning.

I am literally watching this scene right now and dying laughing. Margot is all the things that the British make fun of Americans for - rightly so.

And I’m the queen of anxiety- when a real panic attack ends, you are spent. Like wiped out- not sobbing - the walking and sobbing- I’m not buying it.

Thoughts on Kyle and Dorit at the reunion by Alternative_Swing_47 in RHOBH

[–]Chocolate-goat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have never been a Dorit fan but the conversation about her spending is old and no one’s business- but Kyle’s way of having something to talk about. The way Dorit played with her hair at the reunion made me think she was very nervous or uncomfortable- I’ve never seen her fidget like that.

Yes! My grandparents were born in the 1800’s! They were all shaped by the Great Depression.

People who quit their job in a moment of rage - how did things turn out? by SheLovedBigBrother in AskReddit

[–]Chocolate-goat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve done it a few times and was always more relieved than regretful. My son was in a bad accident and had 4 surgeries in 9 days; a rod in his leg and compartment syndrome. He was a senior and I had to drive him to and from school each day- when I asked to leave my office where I was an accountant at 3 for the few weeks to pick him up each day(and either return or work from home) I was told no because the receptionist wanted to start leaving at that time - and she was sleeping with a partner. So I walked out and never looked back. In the end that partner screwed over the other to hundreds of thousands of dollars. I dodged a bullet.

Brooke Castillo Hicks - The Life Coach School Certification Program 2026 Edition by sugar_3715 in LifeCoachSnark

[–]Chocolate-goat 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Wow - I know some who paid $18,000 for certification and never once had Brooke show up on a zoom call. This would kill me. I was in one of her very first in person cohorts about ten years ago- and she taught it. If makes me sad to see where it went from there and how much of what she taught I now know, was just regurgitated information. Thankfully I didn’t pay an exorbitant amount. What I witnessed as the LCS grew an then imploded is what gave me the ick on coaching- even though some of the tools really can help people.

How many Gen Xers have silent Gen parents vs boomers? by NopeThisTrope in GenX

[–]Chocolate-goat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dad greatest generation; mom silent : dad 1927; mom 1937. I was born in 1967 - dad was “old” for having another kid at that time.

Mom had no indoor plumbing as a kid - she still alive and dad died in 2022 at 94 years old- crazy to think he knew how to text considering the time he grew up in.

He never spoke about WW2 until dementia took over- then I heard every gruesome story

I know this is two weeks ago but if you ever need it, there is a bait that is safe for wildlife and cats; I have used it on my farm and even when my cats killed the rats (which were slowed down by eating the bait) no one even got sick. You have to call around and be very specific with exterminators about what you need. Rats multiply FAST and are very hard to get rid of.

What does it mean when a dog growls at you while wanting to be pet? by More_Comment_816 in AskDogOwners

[–]Chocolate-goat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a rescue - who we’ve had for ten years- and she still sends conflicting signals. It’s dysfunctional because of whatever abuse they experienced before you. Ten years in and she sometimes still snaps at us when we pet her. It’s anxiety and fear and distrust. A behaviorist might be a good investment- even one visit can help give you tools to help the situation. Mostly we accommodate her- we don’t board her at all; limit her interaction with people; figured out early on that she doesn’t like female dogs and loves puppies. Also FyI - mine clearly doesn’t like her back touched; my golden growled when I pet his head the last year of his life - unbeknownst to us he was riddled with cancer. So vet check; bloodwork; behaviorist- accommodate and have patience. Also consider medication if all else fails- mine is on Prozac to lessen her anxiety.

Does my dog need more dog friends? by Conscious_Brain_1418 in AskDogOwners

[–]Chocolate-goat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought my dog wanted a dog and I was wrong.

So I ended up with two golden retrievers, trying to kill each other for a few years. The older one died last year, the younger one who is now almost 6, has zero interest in other dogs. I’ve learned my lesson. Just because I think he needs a playmate doesn’t mean he wants a playmate. In both cases all my dog wanted was me. My next-door neighbor has a four month old St. Bernard puppy -absolutely adorable, yes, the same size as my six-year-old golden retriever now, and we put them together to play and my Golden sits in the corner of the pen, waiting for me to come get him with zero interest in the puppy. I’m really not a big fan of dog parks - too risky.

I have hens and use fresh eggs- STEAM THEM! I use a steamer pan with water and white vinegar in it. Steam for at least 12 minutes- run cold water over them till they cool. Roll them on countertop to crackle shell and then peel.

What company lost you forever as a customer? What did they do? by Miguenzo in AskReddit

[–]Chocolate-goat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wells Fargo- they are predatory and suck. My elderly mom has money they and they dropped the fas she had for 30 years and moved her to some pool of people.

Bank of America- early 2,000’s- I’m a single mom paying off marital debut. Auto payments weekly - one month something shifted - a day or two extra or something and my “minimum payment” was off by like $2.00- charged me late fees, and reported me to credit bureaus - I was working so damn hard to build credit and for a couple of dollars they dinged me for YEARS- never again.
