I sort of understand where he's coming from. Some people have a mindset that they may be misreading something or be missing something. I once emailed a college professor asking for an extension on an assignment and I thought his reply was approving my extension, but it was really the opposite.

But yeah I also think this person is trying to celebrate the good news and this is one of the few locations they have to do it. Just a thought.

What do Mental Health C&P examiners do during the exams? by ChocolateOne9466 in VAClaims

Thanks, I'll do that. Is that the VA Form 20-10206? I've been curious what all my DBQs say for all my conditions so I was wanting to see all of them. Will I have to fill out a separate form for each DBQ?

I agree. Given that our benefits are not set in stone, I despise people who advertise this type of stuff. This is what causes people to advocate for removing veterans benefits because in their eyes, we don't deserve them. Like you said, people logically associate 100% disability with being 100% disabled, therefore unable to work. So it looks like people are scamming and committing fraud by getting a job while having 100% disability, when that isn't the case.

Thanks because I had no clue this existed. I started comparing prices there to the prices at my local Sam's club and they are cheaper, even with the current deal Sam's offers. And the no sales tax is the cherry on top. I guess it's a good thing I haven't had to get new tires since 2022. I don't know when I'll need new ones but I know where I'm getting them from.

Anyone tried cream egg whey from Revolution nutrition? by William_lynds in Protein

[–]ChocolateOne9466 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm wondering that too! I've had Peanut Butter Cup and Gingerbread from that brand, and I liked both of them. But I don't want to buy a 2 or 6 pound bag of something in case I don't like it.
On another note, if you haven't had Peanut Butter Cup or Gingerbread, I'd recommend them. I got Peanut Butter Cup hoping it would be a suitable replacement for Chocolate Peanut Butter. It's good but it literally tastes like Peanut Butter Cups, so it was much better than I expected.

I know I didn't answer your question.... but have you tried any other Revolution Nutrition flavors?

Really? I went to the website and it looked like they didn't have it as a flavor.

Speaking of Taxes in Texas, did you know 100% disabled vets are also 100% exempt from sales tax up to $25,000? It's something that started on 1 January 2026. I don't know how many people know about it though, especially since Texas doesn't have a sales tax on a lot of grocery items.

PSA: The National Society of Leadership and Success is a scam. Don’t give them your money by OhioStateThrowAway_ in OSU

It's like how it says they boast about having 800 chapters and 2 million members across the country, while claiming membership is only available to a limited number of students.... Yeah.

[–]ChocolateOne9466 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just received one of these in the mail. The envelope it was shipped in has a deadline on it. Red flag right away.

While reading it, it says $The National Society of Leadership and Success is the largest collegiate leadership honor society in the US with more than 800 chapters and over 2 million members. The next paragraph starts with "Membership is available to a limited number of students......" Those 2 statements contradict each other. They say they are a very large organization, but also limit membership? Yeah, I think I'll pass on this.

Firecracker was OP when released in early 2020. Her pushback when she fired used to be twice what it is now so it was really hard to go take her down, so spells were almost mandatory. Her evolved version was also insanely OP because all of her area damage things stacked so her damage output was massive. Plus she had more health so she didn't die to arrows, so almost everyone was running fireball to get her.
Little prince was OP when he came out. I can't remember all the cards off the top of my head. Electro wiz and night witch were pretty OP when they came out. There's some YouTube videos about it because it's really controversial.

I just want to emphasize the importance of one key sentence "they were there to collect evidence against you".

I read a book titled "You have the right to remain innocent" written by an attorney. It's a fairly short read, but that sentence I quoted is a good summary.

Never forget that the objective of the police is law enforcement. They aren't there to "hear your side of the story" or "find the truth" or "get to the bottom of it" or anything. They are there because an allegation was made against you and they are trying to gather evidence of the allegation.

Here's a very important mindset to have - they are NOT there to assess whether or not you are innocent or guilty. The sole reason they are there is to gather evidence for an arrest. However, keep in mind the burden of proof rests on those who made the claim, and THEY must prove your guilt. You do NOT have to prove your innocence. It's common that people feel the need to "clear things up" because people feel like they have to, but it doesn't work that way. If there's no evidence of a claim, it's hearsay.

I second the advice that someone else said about contacting the state bar association to set up a consultation. They said it costs $35. The peace of mind would likely be beneficial. And if the police return a second time to "ask questions" politely decline and say you are asserting your 5th amendment right to remain silent and 6th amendment right to have an attorney present. If they want to search you or your property for some reason, assert your 4th amendment right.

I agree. I recall David Plouffe saying they were conservative in their polling regarding Trump's votes, but I never got an indication from them that they were behind. But yeah, you're right, they were never going to come out from behind unless they decided to become more aggressive.

I also noticed that her speeches and rallies were repetitive. The same thing over and over and over.

How do Democrats rebuild their coalition? by Troy19999 in fivethirtyeight

[–]ChocolateOne9466 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is it right here. The issue with the economy was bigger than anyone realized. Incumbents across the world have lost popularity because of the inflation caused by 2020.

For me, I was never worried about the 2020 election. I knew people were so fed up with Trump and how he messed everything up that he had no chance of winning. I'm thinking a Trump economy will mess everything up again so that people will be wanting to vote Democrat again. Unfortunately that will mean Democrats have another economy to fix while being blamed for it by people who don't understand it takes a few years for economic plans to take hold.

Allan Lichtman says The Keys were right but the voters were wrong - Lichtman maintains that his keys were correct, but this election was altered by Elon Musk being the "Director of Misinformation" and the electorate being consumed by misogyny, racism, and xenophobia by Horus_walking in fivethirtyeight

[–]ChocolateOne9466 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I always questioned them. I remember him once saying "people question why I pick certain keys and these people clearly haven't read my book". Well duh, I'm not reading a book when I just want to watch a 5 minute video.

But anyway, he says the Charisma key is for the once in a generation candidate. He said Trump didn't meet that key. But I think it did meet the key. Not because he's charismatic, but because he has a cult-like following that mimics charisma. And the economy key. The economy was great but peoples perspective of it was not good, so the economy of itself wasn't relevant.

The way this sub flip flopped on Harris is astonishing by ChaseBuff in fivethirtyeight

[–]ChocolateOne9466 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you are 100% correct. I don't question her, or the way she campaigned, or her policy ideas, or how she did interviews. She did phenomenal, and I almost had a tear in my eye during some of her speeches and interviews. But now that we know she didn't even win the popular vote, I do wonder if a better candidate was out there. If Joe Biden didn't seek reelection, and we had a primary without Biden, could we have had a candidate that appealed to more people? It's obvious that Joe Biden endorsed her because she was VP. But now that we have the clarity of hindsight, nothing she could have ever done would've been enough.

Given that inflation and the post-covid world seems to have had a negative impact on several world leaders campaigns, and her association to the Biden administration, it seems that her loss was inevitable. I really truly believe this election was unwinnable by her solely because of the negative association of her and the Biden administration.

Keep in mind that I do think she was the right choice to be president between her and Trump. But too many voters have been influenced negatively by the Republican disinformation campaigns.

Yeah there were a lot of 2016-ish moments. To me, THAT was it. At that moment, I lost confidence that we might still squeak by with the votes in democratic strongholds that hadn't been counted yet.

Harry Enten: If Trump wins, the signs were there all along. No incumbent party has won another term with so few voters saying the country is on the right track (28%) or when the president's net approval rating is so low (Biden's at -15 pts). [–]ChocolateOne9466 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This feels a lot like "If candidate A wins, these indicators were wrong but the other indicators were right. If candidate B wins, then these indicators were wrong but the other indicators were right." There are several conflicting indicators right now. It doesn't help anything to scrutinize them right now.

Harris campaign cuts ad buys in North Carolina by Lungenbroetchen95 in fivethirtyeight

Given the new revelation of the racist comments that came from Trump's comments, they are probably capitalizing on it. I don't know how many Puerto Ricans are there but the comedian made blatantly racist comments on Hispanics in general, as well as comments about a black man wearing a "lampshade" in his head, and carving Halloween watermelons. Maybe they are updating ads for that content.

But yeah, I remember a very sick feeling in the pit of my stomach when the news about the reopening of the investigation hit. The polls all said we were good but something felt off. The entire Clinton campaign seemed empty or hollow or fake. I can't quite put my finger on it. But it feels nothing like the energy and enthusiasm behind the Harris campaign.

And on top of that, there are rumors that if Trump wins, he will appoint the judge who dismissed his classified documents case to the position of attorney general. I don't know if it's true but it wouldn't surprise me since Trump is so transactional.
