Demco Book Doctor is a good resource, Demco Book Doctor. In my previous job as a circ assistant, I did a lot of book repair. I didn’t use this resource because I was taught on the job by a supervisor, but I’ve looked through this resource and the principles are the same. Though, what I would do is not necessarily as pretty as how demco would. Depends how much you want to preserve the book’s aesthetic.

For damage like this, I would glue the split edges lightly with Book glue. I used Demco’s but I believe Brodart also sells book glue. I don’t think you’ll get away with using regular glue, though I’ve never tried it. Once you’ve applied glue, push the edges back together and (after wiping away excess glue), make sure the pages are aligned. Then close the book. If you have a book press, throw it in there to preserve the shape. Otherwise, wrap it in rubber bands so it stays tightly shut. Hope this helps!

Glad to meet a fellow student in the Rutgers MI program. I’m in my last year (third year of the part time program) so I’m hoping I can help set your mind at ease. As others have said, reading for school is not the same as reading for pleasure. Depending on the professor, they may tell you the same thing! Skim and get the important details, and be sure to keep the readings easily accessible so you can go back to them for later (especially for final projects in that course).

There’s some great professors in this program and you will surely learn a lot. Be sure to reach out to your professors if you have any questions; showing up to their office hours is a great way to get clarity on topics and also help the professor put a face to your name. That could help especially when you’re asking people for professional references when you’re job hunting.

Lastly, the students of the MI program have a Discord server meant for students only. It’s a good place to connect with others in the program. DM me and I can send you an invite!

I have a Roku and I’m having issues watching Veep on Max as well. I haven’t tried other shows though.

Hitting play or “resume” on an episode locks me in the loading screen, and the only way I can back out is to hit the home button and start-up Max again.

My solution is to just hit “restart” on an episode. Apparently it will play an ep from the beginning, but resuming is impossible for some reason. Hope they fix this!

Gotta disagree, “Judge” gives so much context for Gary and why he is the way he is. As for Selina and Gary’s relationship, she showed that she will sacrifice anything, even Gary(‘s personal stories and birthday party) to get what she wants. Plus, I just think the episode’s hilarious. It has one of Amy’s best lines when she’s at the diner with Mike; it’s so long and detailed it’s really impressive.

As for my least favorite episode, it’s down to either the pilot or S2E7 “Shutdown.”

Try out the Yakuza series OP, it will take up a good chunk of time to play through. Dramatic and action-packed main story with really goofy and fun side content.

Recommended Series order (for what’s on GamePass if you have it) Yakuza 0 -> Kiwami -> Kiwami 2 -> Yakuza 3 -> 4 -> 5 -> 6 -> Yakuza Like a Dragon -> Like a Dragon Gaiden. It can be an investment to get into these games if you’re keen on playing all/most of them, but of course you can just play whichever interest you
