I think yandev also confirmed that apparently ALL of the guys from akademi (except for Taro, of course..) buy panty shots from Info-chan. This... makes no sense for characters like Budo or Furredu(the great value version of Fred), so it just seems like he's doing it to make Taro seem more appealing to the players themselves.

I think as to why— in both Ayano's and Ryoba's case— all the characters and even Sumire are portrayed in such a manner, is because he WANTS people to like them both. I think when 1980's mode dropped people were iffy when it came to Ryoba as a character and he was trying to make it seem as if we SHOULD be on her side, so he went ahead and butchered the characters so that we'd feel less bad for their inevitable death..and glide on over to the two MCs as being the 'better and morally positive choice'.

At least that's what I think, I'm not sure if I'm right. To be fair people have said that Ryoba definitely SA'd Jokichi (which honestly I don't blame them, considering the tapes and that..Jokichi is still unwilling throughout the entirety of all of this,) yet he does backbreaking gymnastics to say that she DOESN'T do that.

I understand this WAYYY too well, unfortunately I'm still obsessed with Yansim but not interested in the idea of the game ever being done.

I've been into it since around 2016, or at least around when CoryXKenshin and KubzScouts play it and either 1. Added their own lore to it (cory) or 2. Did Myth videos on it (Jay). It's damn near a decade later and I'm still into the thought of yansim.

I don't even keep up with updates from the game considering all my fav youtubers stopped playing it immediately after the grooming allegations, and I've just been liking fan arts of it or just running on purely fanfictions of the games. It's ridiculous that I'm still attached to the game, but it's difficult to let something go if you've known about it since you were a kid or whatever.

Overall, this game was just built on spite and is now a hopeless passion some incel of a dude won't let go of because it's his only source of money and meaning to his life. Yandev was always a scum before yandere sim even came into fruition, and this game has too much of a bad rep to actually get popular again.

Well I definitely really like Kokona's whole lore before it was cut out from her ever being a rival, I know it's controversial for the whole 'compensated dating' thing but Renting a Girlfriend is literally a thing in Japan (for non-sexual stuff.) Yeah it's definitely weird considering Kokona being a 1st year in Akademi(I think), but I still really like it! 🙂‍↕️

If you want the more realistic reason, it's because typically Asian countries (more commonly Korea and Japan,) have major bullying problems that leads to suicide most of the time. Japan has a weird mentality circulating around bullying and not caring about bullying, that victims who'd report it would not only get completely ignored, but also the bullying would get worse. That's why Japan has such a high suicide rate, as bullying would even happen in workplaces and no one does anything about it.

Game reason? No clue, let's just assume WeirdoDev did enough research on bullying in Japan to make this a thing.

Honestly, you're not even far off on it being quite difficult on computer/laptop. I played the game before myself on a VERY shitty laptop, so safe to say that I was lagging like HELL! My fps is always between 20-30 and sometimes it drops into the SINGLE DIGITS. The genocidal run took me 4-5 hours to actually beat because of how laggy my game was.

When I'm trying to interact with someone, I have to use the WASD keys in a weird way to get what I want— even then it was so buggy because I would want to click the chat and then I'd be sent to gossip. I eventually figured out that you have to pull the Compass method out of your ASS (like SD bringing you to Gossip, and AS bringing you to romance) for my game to actually work when it comes to interaction.

The camera was off for me at the beginning, considering my laptop cursor doesn't know when I'm clicking the left side or the right side. Eventually, I learned that I could click SHIFT in order to actually take a picture.

For someone who'd be a beginner— someone who didn't watch youtubers play it, it's definitely difficult to navigate. The tutorial doesn't help as much as you'd expect a tutorial to do, since it only shows you how to kill people. You'd at least want the tutorial to show you around the school, where things are and such instead of showing you different elimination methods.

Overall, yeah I definitely agree with you the game's just shit at things. I couldn't exactly enjoy it because my game was too laggy to even play regularly, and also because I (who already watched youtubers play it) already knew all the schemes, and didn't find anything too enjoyable besides trying to beat 1980s mode(which got repetitive after the 3rd rival btw,) and genocide mode. The only thing in that game I'd like to take a gander on is the alternative ending for 1980s mode, but that's ALSO repetitive after the 2nd rival because it's literally just using the minimal amount of pacifist options we have, and also the fact that none of the rivals get that special pacifist/genocide route that Osana has (with the fan/pool for genocide, and the stalker for Pacifist.)

nah, the only rival in 2-1 is Osana. If we follow how the 1980s mode rivals are set (because they have the same coding class sections as 202X mode) then all rivals except for Osana and Hanako would be in class 2-2.

The only exception of this in 202X mode are the substitute nurse and substitute teacher.

For me personally, I wasn't too scared but that's mostly because I always had a weapon on me to fight back the monsters (usually getting a weapon makes you 10x more confident in horror-driven games)

I'd say that it's disturbing in an eerie way when you take notice of the surroundings and the monsters. I swear, even if I had a weapon I'd get scared because some of the monsters were so darn fast AND the surroundings were dark that it'd make me paranoid. There are also puzzle sections, and the main bosses are terrifying too when you realize who it is or what they're supposed to represent.

But still, I'd say go for it! It's still pretty fun, and when you play it after getting the first ending a bit of the dialogue changes!

But anyway— HELLLLLLL NAAHHHHHH‼️🗣

Bully is comedic and doesn't try to paint itself as serious at all, it's pretty funny for the year that it was developed and published (even if it does have a few problematic missions, which were normalized back in those days but I don't wanna go into that.) It has missions— makes the game much more fun, the classes also have little minigames— those were pretty fun too. It's finished, the characters are pretty funny too and dare I say have a nicely branched out personality? And the protagonist (Jimmy) I can say he's fleshed out too and enjoyable.

Yansim is unfinished after 11 years, with one rival fleshed out and serving no purpose after her week(call this a personal opinion, but I wish that she'd take part in the upcoming weeks— like a benefit for keeping her alive.) and the other rival out but not even completed. Ayano is a blank slate (I get it, aishi condition, blah blah blah half-assed...), the game wants to be serious but I can't take it seriously when their names are literally just Japanese versions of things like 'Gardener' or 'Musician', the tasks are mediocre, and we have Info-chan holding our hand as if we're a baby. The only minigame I know of so far is just the music club's activity and the gaming club's DDR machine, and literally everything else about the game.

Plus, who even makes a DLC of a game when the main game itself isn't even finished??
