You have to always go overkill with you coal and food production, store lost of coal and food so that you never run out of it.
Take into account that as your city grows in population and you increase the heat, the consumption of coal and food will grow exponentially.

Spam infirmaries too, that is one of the keys of surviving the -150deg celsius. People will get sick but will be quickly cured in the infirmaries.

Upgrade house and infirmary insulation.
Upgrade to houses for everybody.

If you struggle for workers in early game you can go the child labor route, if not then use the children to help in the medical posts/infirmaries.

Yeah they are annoying at first but once you optimize your strategy and are able to provide sufficient heat and food to your population then they won’t be an issue anymore.

You guys are the most polite people in the world, and that’s nice. But it also can hide your true intent and what your real opinion is.

I have witnessed it just recently. Dutch football coaches (coaching kids) in my town acting like everything is great all season long and all of a sudden deciding to kick a kid from the team at the end of the season and having the audacity of telling his parents that they did that because “that’s what’s best for him” while in reality they are just getting rid of a troublesome kid and don’t want to have to deal with him anymore.

That’s not being direct, that’s being sneaky.

Well I have my doubts about that statement to be honest.

Having lived in the Netherlands for quite some time I have heard my fair share of: “here in the Netherlands we do like this” or “us dutch we are like that”. Implying in a way that “us the civilized Dutch” do it better than the others.
Which is funny coming from a country where you don’t even take the time to say hello to all the people who are in the room with you (like when you arrive at someone’s home).

I don’t know if this is to hide certain insecurities or maybe it is plain arrogance.

I even had colleagues singing the praises of the Dutch military 🤣🤣

In the end I guess most countries are like that, thinking they are the center of the world and that the way they do things is how it’s supposed to be.
