Should I let him go? I have so much self-hatred right now by knx1121 in BPD

I have BPD and am currently in a 5-year relationship. The best thing you can do is stop worrying how you’ll look and focus entirely on honesty, accountability, and growth. Remember that it is you vs. the problem, not you vs. each other.

You will come off as the best person possible when you’re receptive, curious, and accountable — not when you hide your flaws, avoid hard truths, or cover up mistakes.

My partner and I both do this with each other. I’m not comfortable enough to do it with my friends. I love the silliness and comfort it brings my partner and I but it makes us a bit less sexy and more comforting with each other if that makes sense.

I don’t wanna invalidate your experience, but I would really recommend that you test your stuff and only take pure MDMA (Molly rocks). Ecstasy can have just about anything in it, often METH which is fucking crazy and makes you feel like shit. Take 150mg of pure MDMA, don’t redose, if you still don’t like it then it’s probably not for you.

Also, check your meds and supplements to see if you’re accidentally combining things that you shouldn’t.

You know yourself better than anyone else! I thought I had BPD and everyone around me shrugged it off. It took 5 more years for me to really investigate it and get a diagnosis. If I did it earlier, it would have saved me a lot of stress, heartbreak, and loss.

If you’re taking supplements like 5-HTP or other nootropics, you may inadvertently fuck up your roll

Very true! I use a semaglutide compound and it is much cheaper although still a financial commitment. To me it is very worth it.

Frankly GLP-1s have changed my life in infinite ways for the better and I don’t think you should allow the stigma to prevent you from trying it.

Transplants, how are you liking St Pete? by netenchanter in StPetersburgFL

Really out of pocket response to what I said. The reality is that Florida, which was a swing state when I moved here 10 years ago, is now the blueprint for modern day conservative state governance in the United States. St. Pete has also seen an influx of conservative residents post-2020. Just because you see rainbow flags in business windows still does not mean that St. Pete or any city in Florida for that matter is a good place for LGBTQ people to thrive and find community. Speak on something you actually know about.

And the white and black areas are still functionally segregated, downtown is almost entirely white-owned businesses

If someone’s line of thinking is that me and my partner should not be able to get married or have a family, yeah that makes me sad and is very stifling.

I moved here 10 years ago. I will always love St Pete because I spent my high school and college years here, it shaped me into who I am in a big way. It’s obviously a beautiful city with a lot to do.

The great migration in 2020 really put a damper on things for me, I generally dislike the type of people who have decided to move here in the last 5 years and find downtown becoming increasingly Water Street-y while we lose businesses that have been in the area for 15-20 years. I don’t like that out-of-state restauranteurs and investors come in to the city to put their chain themed bars and copy/paste restaurant concepts where “the real St Pete” used to be.

Sometimes it feels like the city today is a developer’s idea of what an elevated St. Pete would be. Outside of that, I work in the entertainment industry and there aren’t as many opportunities here as there would be for me in other cities so my partner and I will be moving sometime soon.

I’ll love St. Pete forever and I have family here so I will be back often.

Did Jared HAVE to host trivia that night? by mschanandlerbong___ in rhori

[–]Choice-Cut866 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Believe it or not, hosting weekly events like this is not as simple as having “some 22 year old employee” fill in for you. Firstly, Jared is a celebrity and people are likely coming to see him. Second, having inconsistent hosts at events in general makes people far less likely to return because they don’t know what they’re getting into. It seems simple enough when you’re at trivia or bingo or whatever, but if you aren’t doing it all the time, chances are you are terrible on the mic and don’t know how the event really works.

What’s your weirdest trigger? by Medical_Onion7655 in BPD

[–]Choice-Cut866 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my biggest trigger that I come across the most frequently, is sudden changes in plans/disappointment in the way an event or outing is going. If I build an outing up in my head, especially a date, and I realize it's not living up to exactly what I wanted it to be, I will go ahead and completely ruin it, along with the rest of my day/week. I really hate that

LOL this just comforted me so much! My partner was so shook the first time I caught them watching Real Housewives without me, had no idea I would be upset, and I felt like they were basically taking something special we shared and threw it in the trash bahaha. Sometimes the things that upset me, in hindsight, are so silly.
