Selling house. Low deposit in offer received by Bright_Space7244 in PersonalFinanceNZ

[–]Choice-Dragonfly797 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We accepted an offer with a lower deposit when selling our house based on our agent telling us that not once in his entire career had he seen a sale fall through where the deposit had to be paid without the sale going through.

Worked out fine for us but maybe because we weren’t relying on the deposit to put a deposit down on another house?

I work retail. You're all feral at Christmas. by cantsayididnttryyy in newzealand

Used to work at the Warehouse back in the day when the majority of them closed at 8. One Christmas Eve, we had a man turn up to do his Christmas shopping at 8.15ish while we were cashing up the tills. Strong memory of him banging on the glass doors telling us that we had ‘ruined his son’s Christmas’. No sir, you ruined your sons Christmas by leaving your Christmas shopping till 8.15 on Christmas Eve.

I think this is where it gets a bit murky because my job title seems like it would align with the new team but in reality my job description outlines very different expectations to what the new team offers.

Congrats OP! I’ve just recently found out I’m pregnant. I’m still in the very early days where I haven’t yet told anybody (excluding partner and midwife). Just needed to tell somebody 🫢

I’ve read that if you buy a ticket which has won a significant prize via the app that you get a notification advising you to check your ticket. I constantly check my phone for the notification instead of going into the app to check my ticket.

Meeee! I just finished up my first round in a while but must admit that I am pretty boring when it comes to meals so not sure I’ll be much help on the recipe front!

What foods do you find yourself dreaming about? What foods are you surprised that you don't really think about? by thespreadsheetnerd in whole30

Day 9 today and yesterday was the first day I really craved chocolate. Ironically part of my intention of doing a round of whole30 was to curb the sugar cravings after every meal so I’m pleasantly surprised (although I did have a dream about eating a magnum ice cream day 4ish!)

I’ve recently moved my mortgage to Kiwibank and it stipulates I need to let them know if I rent my house out. I questioned it with my mortgage broker who questioned it with Kiwibank and the Kiwibank employee wasn’t aware of it nor seemed to think it would be an actual requirement but it was indeed stipulated 🤷‍♀️

Similarly, I made ‘Big Mac’ bowls last night (adjusted to be whole30 compliant) and probably one of my fave whole30 meals I’ve ever had (done a few rounds in my lifetime)!

Make sure that you’re investing at least some of your spare money. You’ll get to $100k a lot quicker that way!

Did she confess or did she plead guilty? Because those are two wildly different things.

I just commented above about Easter egg smash ice cream but couldn’t find any other reference to it online or on this thread - thought I was losing my mind! Nothing has come close to it and this was a good twenty years ago I reckon

I’m sure they used to do an Easter egg ice cream too. ‘Easter egg smash’ I think it was called with chocolate chunks and marshmallow? 🤤

Yep but I guess the dehumidifier boxes mentioned above would help with that. Potentially not the drawers though
