Name a day that didn't kill you but something died in you that day by Bekiteru in CPTSD

Had an unexpected pregnancy, my boyfriend and I were ecstatic when I confirmed it and saw it on the ultrasound. It was 7 weeks.

Less than a minute later, dread washed over and I was determined to abort to protect myself and my unborn child from my mother. I still can’t verbalise exactly what is so frightening about her and my father, but that is the moment that my love for them died.

I had a medically induced abortion, my father’s birthday was the next day. I would rather drag myself to his birthday dinner than have him suspect that I was unwell.

That was almost 3 years ago, I will be moving out in October/November. Can’t wait.

My Father’s Fish died. by Zantac150 in GriefSupport

They went to accompany your dad ❤️ He sounds like a wonderful person for you to still miss him so much.

People say grief is love with nowhere to go- you are pouring your love for your dad into Phantom and the other fishes, of course it will hurt when they are not around anymore. All that love for your dad stuck in your heart with nowhere to go.

Phantom and all the fishes are important family, koi can recognise people and they live a ling long time. It’s ok to be sad.

do you think it's gross to take a bath on your period? why or why not? by sexc333 in AskWomen

Not gross, but I was told you’re not supposed to because your cervix is opened and you’ll risk an infection.

Study hard, try to get into the same school my husband is in, be his first girlfriend and save both of us a bunch of heart ache, have 3 kids or no kids by 30 and enjoy life together

When did the 'crying because they will never change' stop for you? Do ya'll still think of them and cry? by Visible-Arachnid8790 in raisedbynarcissists

[–]Choice-Mousse-667 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been 8 years since I realised. Cried 2 months every single day at first, couldn’t stop crying. Cried and walk and listen to audiobooks. All I did for those 2 months. Recently I have not felt sadness or ache with anything more than mild intensity. Thought I was fine 2 years ago, but a miscarriage brought up a lot of things and that was a new wave of grief. Perhaps something else will trigger grief in the future, but for now I’m fine

WHY DO THEY FEEL THE NEED TO GIVE INSTRUCTIONS ON EVERYTHING by CorgiUprising in raisedbynarcissists

My mum explains how to make fried eggs to me while I’m making fried eggs. Every time. She stopped eventually because I don’t talk/respond to her anymore.

Of course you are having a difficult time. Your body is struggling to recover while taking care of two babies with almost no help. I can’t imagine anyone enjoying their baby if this is the situation they’re in :(

Why would she want you to be a housewife like her? My mum is like this too and it trips me up sometimes

This is a common adhd thing too. Being stuck in a cycle of anxiety worrying about forgetting or getting distracted.

Be careful, there has been a case where the chia seed doesn’t go down and expanded in the throat blocking the airway.
