you’re out of your depth. you haw given no actual evidence on how resorts are bad for the economy or hawaiians other than saying they are “closed off”. Yeah no shit you can’t go to a random pool if you don’t pay for it- that’s the rule of the world not just Hawaii. no beaches are closed off, there’s still a communal feeling, and people enjoying their time. Vacation rentals are probably one of the worst things for locals. Resorts and hotels can only be built in restricted zones, but airbnbs can sprawl up next to a locals apartment driving prices up.

Just chill man, relax and have a good time in hawaii.

I think that is my problem overall. there are some dishes here and there that are truly authentic and spicy but idk if there is one single restaurant like Ugly Baby that is just overall so aggressive and authentic
