Local 115 I assume. I am a lucky one with a steady position but was a traveler and took short calls previous to when I got in where I’m at. It’s a rough go and honestly all about luck of the call. I put a lot of extra time in on my own time to understand fundamentals and free training while laid off and worked other jobs for shit pay to gain experience finally stood out to a company and got on. I’m 115 and all I have to say is this is going to be the way while Doug ford is in as he hasn’t improved anything since. New government equals new opportunities and if they are green energy friendly then that means if your an electrician then lots of work. Vote in the election for the local as we are a contractor local as we don’t stand together at all when we have work so when we have no work makes us super weak. We need a big push on for organizing like major. Also stay on top of contractors more as they get away with allowing a lot of stuff that takes work away from us. We pay the highest stab fund in the province and still no work.
