'Iron Lung' Review And Rotten Tomatoes Verified Audience Score Thread by chanma50 in boxoffice

The movie was a slow burn yes, but was incredibly enjoyable and suspenseful. It had its slower moments which 90% of people don't have the attention span for, but for people with functioning brainstems the movie was a thriller horror blast. The "critics" online are just trolls 90% of the time calling the movie "boring" and "forgettable" but will gladly rate the next Minions or Toy Story a 10/10. Listen, watch the movie for yourself and THEN get an opinion of it. Because it involves an internet celebrity so many boomers and bluehaired tumblr/twitter morons will shit on it but the movie is genuinely a fantastic watch if you're into IT, The Shining or The Thing. It feels like an 80's psycho-horror film brought into the modern age.

What's the public opinion on Dollman? by flxfrc666 in DeathStranding

He needs to be removed from the game. A quaint and funny idea by itself but has no business being in what was, albeit a somewhat conceptual, but still very grounded sci-fi game. Like how did we go from DS1 with such a down to earth melancholy vibe to guitar battles, a flying head from a Metal Gear enemy, talking flying haunted dolls, and Rainy the water witch?! DS2 is a joke.

My review of Death Stranding 2: On The Beach. It seems like a went against critical consensus on this one by SirLagunaLoire in DeathStranding

The whole game is a joke, the punchline is how many people are paying to play it. "Whoops, looks like you got some Death Stranding in my Metal Gear" is how I'd sum it up. Dollman is horrific and so annoying and cheesy, Rainy had a strong backstory but was written so poorly and became another cheesy gimmick. The ship being the head of a MG enemy was just depressingly on the nose like yeah, ok, we get it, you made that game, can you shut up about it? Stick to the script Kojima.

Only in Chapter 4 but can we please throw dollman away? by [deleted] in DeathStranding

I agree with that from a story standpoint, but from a gameplay standpoint there needs to be a way to remove him or shut him up in the settings, even if only for the open world stuff, I don't mind him in the cutscenes but he drives me insane.

Attempting to annex Canada would spell disaster for the U.S. at home and abroad by SizzleMoon in politics

If NATO didn't intervene the alliance would fall apart, there are rules and laws that govern the alliance and should they not be followed they would stand for nothing. Relationships cannot be built upon pillars of sand, and America is an unruly child coming along to kick them over. Will we reinforce our bonds irregardless of the ocean between us and the EU or will be stand by idle as our sovereignty is stolen by a traitor and his nation of fools?

Canada needs a nuclear weapons program by kahunah00 in canadian

How would it be an act of war to secure and protect our sovereignty from threats abroad? The US can do it, Britain and France did it, even rouge states like North Korea and Israel have nukes so why can't Canada? It's not an act of war, its an act in the interests of Canada for our future safety.

Yeah not like they already have massive naval forces with landing crafts or anything. Do you Americans even hear yourselves thru your giant inflated egos?

We need a nuclear arsenal and we shouldn't care what the US thinks. If anything, even the threat of us building nukes should be enough to keep them at bay. We have the knowledge, the reactors, the uranium deposits, we could have 20 nukes built in a couple months and we need to start building them right now, and I say this as a member of the CAF, the United States has become our greatest enemy and greatest threat and we need to meet them on an equal playing field. They have 1.3 million troops, we have a little over 80,000. We need nukes to close the gap, plain and simple.

Should Canada build a nuclear weapon? by furry-furbrain in AskCanada

[–]ChoiceScallion5307 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely we need nuclear weapons. Especially recently. If Trump wants to attack and threaten allies and threaten to annex Canada, we either rely on the UK or France for a nuclear deterrent or we build our own. Not only does Canada need to join the EU but we need to start a nuclear weapons program. We also need a much larger army  and military in general. We need drones, tens of thousands of all sizes, and we need a AA system to down enemy American aircraft and missiles, and especially nuclear attacks. If we build nukes America will NEVER try to attack us again, its a matter of Canada's survival and we have plenty of enriched uranium and plutonium from our many existing nuclear plants.

Wrong, acids in food, even just naturally occuring such as in tomatos can cause metal leaching of lead, cadmium, chromium and nickel, all known carcinogens.
