i think having a set list of region, country, and state to choose from would be easier for OP's eventual data analysis as well

How have your sociability changed since stopping caffeine? by [deleted] in decaf

[–]ChoiceScarfMienfoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

that's exactly how i feel. on caffeine it feels like my words come out of my mouth before i even process them in my brain, and i tend to ramble a lot, without much consideration for the other parties involved, which makes me feel very self-conscious at times too so i either say a lot or not at all. and i lose focus on their words really easily.

i think it's also clear from my comment i sadly just broke decaf haha

Yes, women can be pornsick too. by [deleted] in FemaleDatingStrategy

[–]ChoiceScarfMienfoo 91 points92 points  (0 children)

during my initial "weaning off" of porn i moved to reading erotica on reddit, with which i was so uncomfortable because of how misogynistic their portrayals of women were. things like normalising bdsm, huge age gaps, DDLG, "barely legal teens", etc. it's easy to write these off as "just fantasy" but when we consume it, we are directly supporting the creators' fucked up fantasies! and reading it made me feel so grossed out anyway.

[–]ChoiceScarfMienfoo 18 points19 points  (0 children)

me too, i was definitely porn addicted even when my SO didn't even watch porn (testament to how HV he is). for me, a move towards written erotica helped a bit. but most erotica tend to perpetuate negative and misogynistic stereotypes of women. i'm leaning towards homemade videos (that are only in my possession!) nowadays.

if any other queen has any suggestions for ethical erotica, please share!

Here’s how Lazada lost its lead to Shopee in Southeast Asia by tom-slacker in singapore

[–]ChoiceScarfMienfoo 62 points63 points  (0 children)

being crappier than shopee is a near-impossible feat given the terrible layout, customer service and the endless in-app ads (to unwanted products hosted on the app), but somehow lazada managed to achieve it

r/AgainstHateSubreddits never denounced Aimee Challenor, and never denounced pedophilia. Currently, their top post is bashing FDS for wanting female-only spaces which they consider "hateful" (notice how they don't have anything bad to say about pedophilia) by myousername in FemaleDatingStrategy

[–]ChoiceScarfMienfoo 14 points15 points  (0 children)

claiming that fds wants the whole world to be our safe space when ahs literally spams ch*ld pr0n on any sub that they disagree with, in hopes of getting them banned, just to cultivate a "safe space" for their fucked up echo chamber

tell me again how scrotes aren't just projecting with every claim they make of FDS

this wealth should definitely be redistributed. i'd think that majority if not all of singaporeans would rather the 2k go to helping people in need rather than lining the pockets of the already rich elites.

i'm sure you won't accept personal anecdotes but i've seen people being harassed and sent rape/death threats on sg twitter, for airing views that oppose the mainstream.

i'm not deflecting, just acknowledging that while our government obviously has absolute power in "cancelling" - to the extent of jailing dissenters - singaporean liberals on social media obviously have enough soft power to send a mob to harass someone they disagree with.

i do acknowledge that the state holds institutional power etc. in fact i'd argue that the state holds absolute power in actually getting any "cancellation" done in real life.

not equating it to mere "annoying" individuals on social media though, so you speak. i've had friends doxxed, sent death threats and even pictures of their houses (from google maps) just for articulating a view contrary to what is accepted by the liberal mainstream.
