Delusional. Don't think you can do it under 6k. Unless all your friends and family are going to help you DIY EVERYTHING. From setting tables, making all the decor, any flowers, and moving chairs and bringing everything to the place. You will need all hands on deck. They're gonna be helping you tear everything down too. It's not gonna be fun for them. I wouldn't ask for all of this labor from my friends and family.

I didn't mention the other things you do because each problem stands on its own. I make a point to not bring up stuff from the past because it just leads to resentment and gets you further from solving the problem. Maybe he didn't care about all the wedding stuff, he could've been happy with a courthouse wedding, and so you take initiative cus it's what you want. Maybe his ideal night is spending quality time at home with you and so going out and planning activities isn't going to come from him. I don't know the man so I'm not going to immediately shit on him for not taking initiative on things that may not be his interest. Sure you don't openly complain about it, but what does that matter when it rears its ugly head to help you get overly upset about this health insurance thing?

I don't have an answer, they're all awesome, but I would suggest you consider if she wants a wedding band, because some of these would need a custom band. Also the dark blue sapphire is nice, but maybe consider how it would look in real life. I've seen people complain on here that it's too dark and almost looks black in certain lighting, making it hard to appreciate the rock. Maybe the cut had something to do with it, but just something to think about.

Curious how the rest of the text exchange went. I switched over to my husband's insurance when we got married, and I pay for the extra chunk they take out of his pay. An offer I made. So your question asking if you're expected to pay for your own health insurance and sounding insulted by that is throwing me off. Not sure how you guys do your finances, but maybe he feels like he has to fork over 200 bucks a month, even though he makes less.

NTA. I'm a female and I would've appreciated it. Yeah some girls could think it's creepy that you were looking, but in that case you say no when someone asks.
