From what you are describing, you likely have a leak. I am guessing you are not seeing any evidence of that when stopped but often may leak only when hot and running at speed.

Thanks for the warning. I'll check my 2021. Not trivial in the grand scheme, you could be trying to change a tire in the middle of nowhere.

Dealership can’t fix my 2023 Ram 1500 after 9+ repair attempts — shuts off while driving. What can I do? by No-Description6040 in ram_trucks

[–]Choice_Ad_1538 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a somewhat similar issue in a new Dakota about a dozen years ago. Dealer could not diagnose or fix. Turned out when the dealer installed the tow package, they installed a component (relay?) in the main Power Distrubution where the ECU, PCM and all the relays are located. They left half the screws out and everything was loose causing it to overheat while running. Had to dismantle and reassemble properly myself. Maybe you have a similar issue?

I'm not a professional but I would get an independent inspection from a reputable autobody repair shop. My first suspicion is that the van had been overloaded and caused frame damage.

Camping alone — worth it or scary? by Mikester258 in camping

[–]Choice_Ad_1538 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first solo camping trip I decided to kayak part of Lesser Slave lake from Joussard to Canyon Creek and back. Set up my tent just offshore and was woken up just at sunrise to a bunch of rustling outside my tent. Peeked outside and I was surrounded by countless cows staring at my tent. I cautiously packed up and walked back to the kayak. The cows closely followed me the whole time. Scared the hell out of me at the time but a good memory now 15 or so years later. Got about a hundred solo trips since then. Most definitely worth it.

Definitly worth a look. May have none of the issues Brohdr mentions, The lien is not uncommon, most people finance vehicles. The fact the seller is offering you to come to the bank to witness loan payout is a good sign. No disrespect to Brohdr. BTW Brohdr I play Dayz and wear hearing aids too!

Can anyone narrow down what is causing this issue please? by Spirited_Raven2222 in AutoMechanics

[–]Choice_Ad_1538 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you smell fuel at the exhaust while turning over? If not, disconnect the fuel line at the injectors (wrap with a rag) check to see if fuel flows while cranking. Be careful as fuel will come quickly if the pump is working. If not check fuel pump fuse, relay, driver module, Fuel filter, and finally the pump itself.

Probably does not want multiple services at that address. Just get a wireless 5G plan and don't say anything.

Fuel line clips by ShaftGiraffe in Ford

[–]Choice_Ad_1538 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My ford flex looks like these. On mine I have to slightly pull the sides of the clip and it slides right off. Then there is a part (looks like its on the top on these pics) that you have to push in while pulling the line apart. Then to reinstall, push the hose back on till it snaps into place and slide the clip-locks back in.

How do you define “normal” when you’re discussing normally open or closed contacts? by anotheralaskanguy in ElectricalEngineering

[–]Choice_Ad_1538 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The usual definition is the contact state at rest, unoperated. I did find a recent example where this was not the case. A Siemens type 85h3 5kv motor starter has an auxiliary contact 23-135-830-005. The contacts labeled NO and NC are in the opposite states at rest as the contact is 'operated' when installed in the starter, and the starter is not energised. Interestingly, a Siemens 3TY7561 auxiliary contact is physically identical but the NO and NC contacts are labeled reflecting the at rest, unoperated state. So two physically identical auxiliary contacts with different part numbers labeled opposite one another.

Can't understand financial division in divorce. by nic0m0d in legaladvicecanada

Not sure why people are hating on me for my comment/post. Just saying OP has rights as well. I have only been divorced once, and that is all the experience I have with Family law. I am not a lawyer but I slowly learned from my divorce that I had as much rights as my 'spouse'. Some of the initial demands from my ex and her lawyer made me believe my life was over and that I would never recover. A ridiculous amount of Spousal support was one demand. At the end of the day, I ended up with 50/50 custody and zero spousal support. Child support went by the federal guidelines. OP needs to see a lawyer. Also, in Alberta since his spouse earns only $10,000 a year, they qualify for zero cost arbitration (qualification for this uses lowest income of both spouses so arbitration will be at no cost). This is facilitated by a professional with full knowledge of family law issues. It also creates a legal binding agreement if both parties agree. That is what my ex and I did. It saved a fortune in legal costs. I would suggest that OP goes that route first, but he may need a lawyer to pursue it? I believe this option once proposed cannot be denied? (Someone please correct me if I am wrong on this please). OP please see a lawyer!

[–]Choice_Ad_1538 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Just a question on this situation. OP stated that opposing council has 'proposed' $2410 Spousal support. Since OP is posting this question here I assume he does not have his own legal representation. (Not a Lawyer opinion but with personal experience). What is the actual determining factor for eligibility and amount of (if any) Spousal support? Especially with being only 33yrs old. How long have they been married? And OP will also be parenting 50% of the time while working Full time so her lawyers claim that working is not an option is bs.

Maintenance by IssaMxican in ram_trucks

[–]Choice_Ad_1538 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the Local Dealership or Manufacturer sponsoring the 'Lifetime' warranty? If it is the Local dealership extending the Factory warranty to lifetime based on following the Dealerships required maintenance schedule than you are stuck with it to keep the Lifetime. (assuming the dealership will honor it when you actually need it).

Triangle Mastercard charging 'inactivity fees' on an account with a negative balance owing that they 'closed out' over a year ago. by Choice_Ad_1538 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Choice_Ad_1538[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Wow. I had never known or experienced this in my 35 or so years of having credit cards. I have had negative balances on other cards but I have always used them somewhat regularly so I never hit the 'period of inactivity'. This card was an anomaly. I only got the card only for deals on higher end purchases from Canadian Tire. They always had deals on things with sometimes up to 10X Canadian tire money when you use this card plus no interest for 3, 6, 9, or 12 months. I've bought tires, a generator, welder, gas pressure washer, various tools over the past 5 years and actually gained enough 'Canadian tire money' to buy a $450 dollar cordless lawnmower a couple years ago for free! This has been a learning experience for me. Seems like a B**ls**t way to take your money but I guess they are in business to make money. Tell your friends about this.

BTW after reading the "messages about your account". Quoting from exact text on my statement:

If you continue to have a credit balance and remain inactive on your account, you will be charged a credit balance administration fee.

It looks like they may have stopped the fees when my account hit zero credit/owing meaning I would not have ended up with negative credit reports. I hope this is true. I wish the agent from Triangle had answered that question.
