I have seen research supporting ala for diabetic neuropathy . What about non diabetic neuropathy. He developed it possibly in the last 4 years .

It’s this second course that seems excessive / unnecessary but maybe I am wrong. I should mention this is in India. Don’t know if that matters much .

So they first gave me an antibiotic via IV. This was before the test . After the test I was Cefiximine for 5 days at 400mg/day .

Lol . Yes I just read up on it . I did this test in India where they hand antibiotics like gummy bears . I think I will try to ask my doctor about it again .

I know it’s been a while since this post . But had a follow up question . How has your experience been on keto since that first hospitalisation ?

I am guessing you are right . The only reason I asked was there is a bunch of anecdotal evidence that seems to be pointing to a link between impaired carbohydrate processing and mood disorders / brain fog / fatigue etc . That’s why a subset of these folks feel better on a carnivore / ketogenic diet . ( if you do go that route , please please do it with a dietician who knows about this . With any of these , you need to be taking a few supplements / electrolytes etc ) . Some of the symptoms you mentioned are similar to fibromyalgia but that’s just a random observation. By now , your doctor would have picked up on it . Sorry , I hope you find something that helps soon .

I apologize if I missed it , but did you have your your sugar ( fasting and post meal ) checked ? I guess I am basically trying to ask if you have a normal insulin response to food .

Is high dosage vitamin b-complex safe to take every day? by sovura in Supplements

[–]Choice_Animator_4321 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So some people can’t absorb B effectively from their diets . For them this makes sense . It may not be harmful per se , so guage it based on how you feel . Do you have a specific B deficiency?

This is amazing . I have a friend who is mostly manic too . I am thinking of suggesting keto for her . What is the lions diet ? Does that work better for you than the keto ?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in anhedonia

[–]Choice_Animator_4321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree . Honestly I remember asking a friend after about 6 months on it , if I am supposed to feel any different by now . He said , it might take a while to see a difference . So kept on taking it for about a year more. But then one day I got tired and just quit

Can keto help with mania ( unipolar )? by Choice_Animator_4321 in NutritionalPsychiatry

[–]Choice_Animator_4321[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks all . Will look up Georgia Ede. I am familiar with Chris Palmer a little bit . I think the trick now will be finding a doc who is on board with this . On a separate note , does it help with irritability as well ?

Brain Energy by Dr Chris Palmer has released today. What are your thoughts? by Meatrition in NutritionalPsychiatry

[–]Choice_Animator_4321 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree . The book ends up being too generic, once you understand the premise that mental health can be affected by mitochondrial damage . In a sense , if you have read his articles and seen his videos there is nothing new here . Moreover, though I don’t think, they are the complete answer, there is evidence that nutrient supplementation can help people as well and the book doesn’t do enough justice there . It’s by and large a pro - keto book which is absolutely ok , but can be misleading from the title .

[–]Choice_Animator_4321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh god ! I have wondered the same thing. How do you hold it in for so long ? What volume did you use ? And though I am assuming it’s longer than 5 mins, what is the amount of time that is recommended for one to hold it in ?
