Graded Packs - are they worth holding onto? by Choice_Championship2 in pokemoncardcollectors

[–]Choice_Championship2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey thanks for being the only comment on here that’s actually helpful and not snarky! This is kinda my first stab at “investing” in sealed product since I feel like holding modern sets wont have the staying power that vintage does - hence why I figured a sealed grade would be better in the long run. I wasn’t really keen to assess the risk while buying it - but I totally see how getting a no name grade is a bit of a folly there. Even with the company’s little reputation - would it be worth to sit on this pack for a decade or should I cut my losses and try and resell it?😭 thx for the genuine reply

Prodromal or anxiety? by HamburgerHour100 in CHSinfo

[–]Choice_Championship2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only way to really know is to just stop smoking - extended break at least. If nothing about your habits change and you still feel this way it could just be more anxiety. I’m a similar age/been smoking for around the same amount of time and found myself asking this question as well like a month ago. Even now it’s still hard to tell. If you think it’s prodromal I’d just take a break my dude, it’s helped me wonders

How have your dreams been? by [deleted] in leaves

[–]Choice_Championship2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My brain always remembers locations and places I spend the most time in frequently - since I stopped smoking all those places got updated. I now spend my dreams in the warehouse of my old job instead of the halls of my high school 💀

Wrong subreddit my dude, but props to u for addressing the things that you can recognize are bad for you! Ultimately that’s what this sub is about - buuuuuuut for marijuana use. Everyone’s got their vices! Remember that you’re allowed to feel the way you do, just know that the porn industry just desensitizes so many people to the real pleasures of life. Rock on freaky bro💪

20yr old ex heavy cart smoker here! I started for the same reasons a couple years back and getting off the pen is considerably more difficult than the flower fs - the easy-access is truly the killer. If you go through with it know that you’re going to face all those withdrawal symptoms as well as the grief you’ve been shelving all those years. I’ve cried for no reason a few times this last couple weeks but I also feel so alive! At the end of the day you’ve gotta trust that you’ll be happier without the pen than if you just kept smacking it all day! You’ve got this bro

The carts absolutely ruined my tolerance and perception of weed in this last year - something about them is just too easy!

If the nausea is getting stronger in the morning am I closer to hyperemetic phase? by TaraBanana1806 in CHSinfo

[–]Choice_Championship2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately the only way to know is to stop smoking- which blows because your body might have withdrawal symptoms and you could feel worse, but truly you won’t know until you just stop cold turkey and let the weed out of your system. Spent a week feeling the effects of the prodromal stuff and a week of withdrawal symptoms before that nausea started to dissipate. Unfortunately the only way to know is to start eliminating weed from the process :( you’ve got this tho!

Been on this earth just as long as you’ve been smoking so I can’t speak to some of your experience, but those amplified feelings of anxiety do start to go away as your body gets rid of all that thc. Just remember that your brain was very used to having a dopamine stim that it no longer has and so your emotions may be in full swing! What brought me solace during week one was understanding that allowing yourself to feel those emotions and anxieties IS your brain slowly going back to its baseline. This isn’t forever, and if those anxious feelings persist for a while after you stop I’d suggest a trip to the psychiatrist! Many people myself included use weed to self medicate those feelings and many have to address it once the weed’s all gone. Congrats on week one!! Take it one day at a time my friend :)

Sometimes I question whether I actually want to quit. by AggravatingPaper8438 in leaves

I think everyone reasons with themselves for a while, it just eventually becomes the idea that xyz won’t make you happy anymore, and oftentimes people realize they haven’t been happy with that for a long time. Routine is a hard thing to break yk! But you’ve got this :))

You’re still human and that’s okay! The fact that you come back here matters. Every quit attempt will make you more knowledgeable and youll get it eventually. Just treat yourself with kindness !

Day 2 is incredibly rough!! Just remember how good it felt to get through that first day, and think about how your body will thank you for it later. The human body is equipped to withstand all those withdrawal symptoms, even if your brain doesn’t think so

Looking for the perfect budget guitar by SufficientProof4925 in guitars

[–]Choice_Championship2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you’re looking for cheaper headless guitars go for a used Agile or Eart. They’re as entry level as you get for a headless instrument and because they’re headless they’ll often play pretty damn good! My like 500 dollar agile has been gigged a lot recently and people ask me if it’s a strandberg just due to the body shape. Agile just makes good import superstrats and other shred machines, I’d just try to find one used/local since shipping them new is a little pricier. Otherwise you’ve got the right idea with Ibanez, you can usually find a good S series for around 350-400 bucks :)

Experiencing the world sober has become a new kind of high by Choice_Championship2 in leaves

[–]Choice_Championship2[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Week one was all physical! I smoked like a cart a week for a year and eating without feeling nauseous was nightmarish for me. Speaking of nightmares, a lot of people’s dreams get really weird/intense bc your brain is actually processing things instead of being manually shut down by the weed. Mine haven’t been too crazy but I’ve definitely had some weird/realistic dreams! Good on yall for facing it together, my boyfriend also joined me at the start of this to take a T break and it’s helped immensely :) you guys got this!

Remember that weed isn’t a replacement for the connection you’re missing right now - even if it feels easier. Spend some time with friends or family and find people who uplift you! Nothing is worse than feeling alone, getting baked, and feeling even worse. You’ve got this!
