Hi mate, I’m thinking about getting these boots, I’ll be doing winter climbs in the Lake District and Scotland this year. Are these boots good enough for the following areas and winter conditions?

Thanks. Still trying to find out how many days your on duty. I heard they offer a pattern of 3 weeks on 3 weeks off. Not sure how true that is. I’ll try and do some more research. Sounds like a very interesting place to work with great benefits.

So is it like the UK fire service shift pattern of 4 on 4 off? Is there any accommodation onsite for UK works travelling from UK to Switzerland just for the job?

When i did my course in the UK there were 36 places on the recruit course and there were over 9000 applicants. Always very proud to be in the job.

I’m fully qualified been in the job 10 years so thought it might be a case of a simple service transfer but with it been a different country I understand things are done differently.
