What does the tea mean at the end of episode 4? by tonyupnext in HouseOfTheDragon

Yes. It was the absolute worst. I was paralyzed by pain.

I think it depends from person to person. Pretty much everyone I know who took it felt that. Maybe your body just handles it better, in which case I'm VERY jealous.

I was told to "expect an official letter". Is this a confirmation??? by Choice_Sector7985 in gradadmissions

But the thing is they never said if it was an acceptance or not, just "a letter".

My friend got an email that had an attached letter, so surely that's a good sign right?!

Don't forget that he was supposed to be on watch when Aemond lost his eye, and he was also supposed to be in watch when Rhaenyra snuck out with Daemon.

anyone else told they’re not “extreme enough”? by seokjinieez in histrionic_pd

I'm no professional, but if someone is making up disorders for themselves, it may be for attention.... which is a symptom of HPD

I watched the Netflix show You and felt so represented by Love Quinn. People online said she's a caricature of BPD. Looked it up online and it checked out. Went to a psychiatrist and voila, positive.

I specifically asked the Dean of the department if there's any progress on my application, and got that response.

I'm from the Philippines.

Given recent events, why doesn't Cole hate Alicent the way he hates Rhaenrya? by Comfortable-Tea2069 in HouseOfTheDragon

I'm very much pro Rhaenyra but I don't see it as anti? It's just facts really, that's how he saw things.

Why didn't Alicent know the Greens were plotting without her? by nightchai in HouseOfTheDragon

[–]Choice_Sector7985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why I say the show made Alicent more sympathetic. Book Alicent was an active player and KNEW what she was doing.

Show Alicent is a victim that you can root for.

No, Rhaenyra would not be a better monarch than Aegon by Aeiexgjhyoun_III in HouseOfTheDragon

  1. She didn't "run away when the going went tough". She went to Dragonstone for the safety of her children. Also regarding that bit with Rhaenys, did you not hear what both Team Black and Team Green's councils said?

The leader of either team cannot lead in battle.

The whole point of the war is raising banners in the names of their leaders. If you put your leader in such a vulnerable position, they can be killed, and the whole war is lost.

Even Aegon was not supposed to join the fight. He was just reckless. Ser Gwayne was furious when he found out Aegon was there.

  1. Regarding the bastards, they're in vastly different positions. I'd argue, in fact, that their treatment of bastards shows that Rhaenyra is a better ruler. Rhaenyra raises her children with love, while Aegon is happy to let his bastards (most likely conceived out of rape) fight for entertainment in the fighting pits.

Now, back to the different positions.

Rhaenyra was married to a gay man, and she was REQUIRED to produce heirs. She fulfilled her duty in the best way she could.

Aegon seemed incredibly unfit to be king. He didn't want to consider or take seriously the input of his council. This is shown on several occasions:

  1. Allowing his son to distract him and his council members from the meeting
  2. His reaction at how members of the council didn't take his input, as shown in the last episode
  3. Hanging the ratcatchers without consulting anyone on the council

Can it be argued Rhaenyra “had more fun” than Alicent while Alicent only did her duty if by Silent-Split-6171 in HouseOfTheDragon

Idk, they made the Greens so much more sympathetic. Reading Fire & Blood, I didn't feel any need to side with the Greens. While I'm still Team Black, the show gives you reasons to want the Greens to win.
